Sun Kyunmi:

I stumbled into my apartment after a tiring day of high school, my backpack loaded with the books I had checked out of the library earlier that afternoon. I silently cursed myself for breaking my back only to come second to the jerk again. Why had I decided to make such a bet with him?! There was no way I would be able to beat him in his best subject, especially when it was my worst one.

Damn you, Suga!

Min Yoongi, otherwise known as Suga, and I had immediately started off on the wrong foot since day one of our freshman year, and it hadn't changed even up until senior year. We had been competing in every single subject to see who would place first in the grade and it was, sadly, always him. Even though I was the one who spent all her free time in the library studying for those goddamn awful tests, he would snooze through every class and still earn a perfect score. On the tests and in all the girls' hearts. He and his little boy group BTS were the most popular guys in the school because they were all rich, smart, and handsome. Not that I thought Suga was handsome. He may have a pretty face but he was rotten to the core. And it was disgusting to see all those dumb fangirls throw themselves at him.

It wasn't that I was jealous or anything. I just hated those bitches that made my life hell every day.

Whatever.

I had bet him that I would beat him on the upcoming Physics test next week, but lucky for him it was his best subject. Even if he had been sleeping the entire class, he always knew the answer to every single question, so it wasn't like Mrs. Kim could throw his sorry ass out of class either.

The worst part wasn't even knowing he was going to mock me for the rest of the year. It was what we had bet on that scared me the most.

The loser would have to serve the winner for an entire MONTH.

Not just a week, but a MONTH.

I can't believe I agreed to do this. Suga had been the top in Physics for the past three years of high school--there was no way I would be able to get him to be my servant. How stupid could I be to land myself in this situation?

*Flashback*

I was sitting in the Physics classroom, the first period for the day, waiting for the teacher to arrive. Almost all the students were there except for my partner, Suga. No wonder I hated this class so much; the teacher had assigned us to be partners for the entire year. This made sure that Suga was always there to ruin my peaceful mood in the mornings, something he no doubt loved to do.

Mrs. Kim walked in, huffing slightly as she set her usual morning coffee on her desk. "Sorry I am a bit late class," she said as she walked toward the front of the room. "The printer had trouble making copies of the activity we will be doing today. You will work in your usual pairs for this activity."

Everyone groaned as Mrs. Kim's assignments usually took the entire class period and required work, something many of my classmates abhorred.

The teacher was already handing out the assignment, and my "partner" still wasn't here. Mrs. Kim put the worksheet on my desk and told me to go ahead and start working, as my grade would still be affected by my partner coming in late. She offered me a sad smile as I mentally fumed inside.

The assignment wasn't too hard; although Physics was my worst subject, I was better than most the people in my class, so I finished the paper early enough. But what was the use of having to put up with that jerk Suga as my partner when I still had to do all the work? There should be some benefit to having the smartest guy in class as my partner.
