POV : 3rd Person
"Oh Pie! I can't wait! This is going to be the best bakery in the world!" Cake squealed excitedly. "Well I wouldn't say that, we haven't even opened it yet!" Pie corrected. Cake and Pie's dream was to open their own bakery and sell their home-made recipes. They had just finished setting up before the grand opening...
Golf Ball and Tennis Ball suddenly bursted through the back door. "You two ready for the rush of customers?!" GB yelled, "Yeah, we put fliers all over, along with an add in the paper!" Tennis Ball exclaimed. "Well you two will need the help, after all!" GB teased. "Sure..." "Totally..." Pie and Cake were a little annoyed, but were taken over by the clock striking noon. "IT'S TIME!" Cake exclaimed. Tennis Ball proceeded to unlock the front door along with turning on the "OPEN" sign. "Well Tennis Ball, we should head out, our lunch break is almost over!" GB said, while walking out as Tennis Ball soon followed. "Bye!" "Bye! We'll see you soon!"
"Wonder when he's gonna tell her..." Pie whispered, "Tell who what?" Cake asked. "That he loves her!" "What?! Really?!" "Yeah, don't tell anyone, he's trying to make a surprise for her later." "Maybe we can-" Cake was cut off as their conversation was interrupted by their first customer.
"Hi there!" Cake exclaimed, "You're our first customer at Cakes, Pies n' Sweets!" "May I take 3..." as Cake started to write the order, he noticed more customers came in... "Uhh, Pie? We might need more help" as he pointed to the line-up of customers. "Don't worry, I got help from my old friend Leafy!" as she pointed to a girl with a long ponytail and a green turtleneck. "Thanks for your help!"
TIMESKIP TO THE END OF THE DAY
"Pie! That was the biggest rush I've ever seen!" Cake exclaimed as he locked up shop for the day. "Well I'm whipped as cream!" Pie joked. Cake laughed "Haha, good one! And thanks Leafy! We needed it!" "No problem, very happy to help!" she yelled as she biked home. "Best. Day. Ever." Pie said as she started up her car, "Well I'll see you tomorrow!" "Bye Cake" as she waved goodbye and pulled out of the parking lot.
CAKE'S POV
I can't wait for tomorrow! This was our best idea yet! It's a nice sunset, so I might as well walk through the park for a little bit, it'll help the rush's effects.
Walking through the park, watching all the birds and people against a warm sunset was great! I did see a few couples on the benches, and thought it would be nice to get a significant other of my own. Maybe I'll meet someone...
"OW!" I heard as I saw someone in a big trench coat fall to the ground. "OH I'M SO SORRY I WASN'T LOOKING!" "It's fine," they said in a warm, creamy voice. I helped them up, though I couldn't make out too many of his features. He did have blond-ish hair, along with a bit of a long face. He thanked me, and gave me a wave as he walked off. Then I realized he had dropped a small, white, folded paper. "Sir, you forgot this!" I turned around and looked for him, but he had disappeared into thin air. "Was that like a magic trick or something?" I thought, maybe he was a magician. I walked to my car and drove home.
As I opened my apartment, I thought to myself about the paper. "Should I open it?" "Maybe not, it is his personal belonging and I hate to be snooping..." "He won't know, besides it might help you find who he is!" I unfolded the paper, and saw a small logo with a signature in it. I didn't recognize it, and called Pie to ask her about it.
"Hmm I'm not sure Cake, did you recognize them?" "No, I couldn't see their face." "Hmm, well bring it to work, and I'll take a look." "Thanks big sis." "No problem, you may be taller, but I'll always be older!" "Hah thanks, night." "Night."
