Mavis' P.O.V-

It has been a couple of days since the incident with my 'parents' but they haven't been back since. I'm very thankful but I'm scared of when they will just pop up. I have been having cheer practice for our competition this weekend but sadly when I did one of my lifts with a guy (picture above), he lost his grip and I fell and dislocated my shoulder. I'm not supposed to do any sports for about 4-6 weeks and I'm mad cause I let my team down. I'm still going to practice at my dance studio though.
"Mavis, can you get the door?" Avis asked when the door bell rang. I groaned but walked downstairs and opened the door. When I opened it, Luke was standing there. I went to turn away but Avis was standing in front of me. "You guys are gonna make up. Luke is gonna be around cause I hang out with him so you two better figure it out," Avis said as he pushed us outside and locked the door.
"Jerk!" I yelled and I heard him laugh. I just stared at Luke.
"This is your fault," he mumbled.
"My fault?! How is this my fault?!" I yelled mad. "You're the one who asked me out and made it awkward!" I yelled in his face.
"Whatever," he said and we sat on the ground facing away from each other. Then Bryson drove up in his car. As he started walking up the steps, he saw us and looked at us confused.
"Get Avis and come out here," I said angrily and he nodded. He walked into the house and soon walked out with Avis.
"Care to explain anyone?" He asked and Luke and I looked at Avis.
"Ok ok. I pushed Mavis and Luke out here to make up cause Luke is gonna be around more. By the way did you guys?" He asked and I glared at him.
"No," we said at the same time. Avis just groaned and dragged Luke up to his room. Bryson and I walked in after them.
"Bryson, I need to go to the dance studio and practice," I said and he stared at me.
"Your shoulder is dislocated I'm not letting you," he said and I rolled my eyes.
"I'll just practice my pointe work. I won't use my arms I promise. Please," I beg.
"No. Maybe in a couple of weeks when your shoulder is a little better," he said and I groaned. I went into the kitchen to get some food but we had nothing so I went up to my room. I got there and went on my phone. As I was waited I heard yelling downstairs. I ran downstairs to make sure no one was dying. When I got down there, Avis was on top of Luke punching him.
"Avis Get off of him!" I yelled pulling him off. Then all the other guys came running in.
"What happened?" Bryson asked worried. I was now standing in between Luke and Avis.
"I heard yelling so I came down and Avis was on top of Luke punching him," I said and Bryson grew mad.
"Avis Mark!" He yelled.
"He was talking crap about Mavis. He was saying she's a jerk, idiot, stuck up," he said. I'm pretty sure I turned physically red. I was furious.
"What the hell Luke?! What have I done to you?!" I yell in Luke's face and Oliver grabs me.
"Shut up Mavis you know what you did. I can't believe you think I did everything wrong!" He yelled and stomped out of our house. I was still really mad though.
"Mav-," Porter started but I cut him off.
"Don't talk to me right now. I just want to be alone," I said as my eyes started watering. I may be tough but I am pretty sensitive. I ran up to my room and locked it. I slid down the door and just started crying. I kept crying when I heard soft knocks on my door.
"Mavis," I heard them say. It was Oliver. Out of all my brothers, Oliver is the nicest. He comforts me, keeps me from killing people, and doesn't annoy me as much. I slowly open the door and he comes in. I shut my door again and we sit on my bed. He just hugged me I silently cried into his chest.
"Shh it's ok. You can't believe what Luke said. You are the smartest girl I know," he said rubbing my back. I sniffled and wiped my tears away.
"Thanks Oliver but what he said was true. Maybe I am just an idiot and a jerk," I said quietly.
"Mavis Jane don't say that about yourself! Ok yeah maybe you can be a little rude and annoying but you are amazing," he said and I laughed a little.
"Thanks Oliver," I said hugging him again. We both got up and walked downstairs. When we got down there, everyone was sitting and waiting for us.
"We are going to a nice dinner tonight so go get dressed up and meet us back down here," Bryson said and Oliver and I nodded and went back up to our rooms. I changed into a black jumpsuit with some jewelry and tan heels. (Minus the purse)
