today was the day that i was going to take a huge step in jade and i's relationship. it was the day that i was going to ask her to move in with me.
i figured that i had known her long enough. we met in june, and it was now november. she would be eighteen next month, and so her parents couldn't stop her, that's if she wanted to move in of course.
gathering the information that she accidentally dropped on to me, my guess was that she didn't get along with her parents, anyway. her mum was very strict, irish and catholic, and so her ways of bringing kids up was a lot different to society these days. and her dad was always awol.
i lit the last candle on the table, before blowing out the match. admiring my work, i hear the doorbell ring, and i instantly jump into action.
when i swing the door open, i was expecting to be met by the same smile that calms my nerves by just glancing at it. the eyes that were so full of life. and the face that i had fallen in love with.
i'm not met with that. although the girl in front of me is jade, she's not at the same time, because my jade doesn't frown, angels don't deserve to frown. my jade doesn't have broken eyes with a bruised cut around one of them, and when i look at my jade i don't feel like i have to smash someone's head against a steel door until their skull is completely broken and blood is seeping out from what used to be their eyes.
whoever hurt her will pay.
"what happened?" i huff out, my eyes trained on the mark that clashes against her beautiful skin. my chest is rising and falling rapidly, i can feel the steam coming out of my ears that are probably turning red as i wait for her response.
"jade!" i bark out, not even bothering when she looks up with tears in her eyes. i wasn't the same harry that i was five minutes ago, just like this jade isn't the same girl as my beautiful princess.
that harry is long gone for now.
