Part Three: Thunderstruck

Okay, part three. This part is kind of short. Apologies. I really hope you're enjoying my story, if you have any advice, feedback, or suggestions, please comment. I really appreciate it. Anyway, on with the story. =3

Maka picked up a fallen pedal from one of the roses, and held it between her fingers, feeling the silk like texture. Remembering how she felt that night. She felt something she'd never felt before. Love. For a boy...
No just any boy. Her meister. Who would have thought, that she'd ever feel this way about him. Despite all the stupid things he's done and said. Calling her short, making fun of her size, and putting down her love for books.
And all this time, did he really mean those things? Did he really love her?
No. Maka thought. Why would he? I'm nothing special. He is though. He could have any girl he wants. There's no way he'd chose me.
So then, why did he try to kiss me? She thought, he heart fluttering at the thought. Maybe there was no reason. Maybe he just takes pleasure in kissing random girls. But that doesn't really sound like Soul.
Soul is better than that. That's why I have to trust him, just like he trusts me. Soul put his life in my hands the day I became his weapon.
That's right, we're partners. Friends. Nothing more. Maka thought as she placed plates on the table for dinner. I won't allow myself to fall in love with anyone. Not him, not anyone. I'd rather be alone, than suffer the heartache. And make the same mistake Mama did.
        Still, he's kind of, charming when he wants to be.... Maka thought. And kind of handsome. But he does have his idiotic moments. She sat down, sighing.
        "I hope he gets home soon." She mumbled. The spaghetti is getting cold.
        "MAKA!" Blair shouted busting in. "Maka, come quick!" Maka jumped up from her chair.
        "Blair, what happened?"
        "It's Soul! He's hurt!"
