Ericka.

It's Sunday morning, and I haven't heard anything from Damien all weekend.

I was up all night, and surprisingly I'm not tired at all right now. I'm laying on my couch under a blanket, re-watching episodes of Stranger Things.

I hate being alone so much. It constantly reminds me of the days when I had depression, my life is not fun at all.

I wonder what Damien is doing right now...who knows, he probably is still asleep. I only like waking up early when I have nothing to do during the day.

Or he could be hanging out with other people, maybe even another girl...maybe he has a girlfriend, and that's why he doesn't feel the same. Or maybe I'm just thinking to deep into all this.

I need to do SOMETHING today, because this is not healthy.

Damien.

"Damien, it's been at least three weeks since I told you to ask her that, what are you doing!?" Shayne exclaimed.

"I tried to the day before the party, but I just couldn't, okay!? I was scared..."

"She's gonna end up finding someone else if you don't take that chance."

"Oh, you're saying this to me, how's it going with you and Courtney?" I asked. He pursed his lips and looked at me, saying nothing. "That's what I thought."

"Stop deflecting!" He clearly deflected, "I'm really trying to help you, I know that you really, REALLY like her!"

"Okay, fine! You know what? I'll do it today. I will take her out today. Are you happy?"

"Yeah, sure, if you actually go through with it..."

I want to prove him wrong SO bad, but...I...I think I'm gonna do it. Today's the day.

....

It just hit 8PM, Shayne went home after hours of constantly telling me that I'm not gonna go through with it. I know, what a great and supportive best friend, right?

Come on, Damien, you got this. This is your chance.

I called her. It rang a few times before she finally picked up.

"Hello?"
"Uh..hey, Ericka. I'm sorry if I interrupted you or something..."
"No, you're fine, I wasn't doing anything...what's up?"
"Um...I am really bored right now, and everyone else is busy, so I was wondering if...you would come and hang out with me tonight? I understand if you can't."
"Yeah, sure."
"Really? Cool! I guess I'll come pick you up at...let's see...is 8:30 okay?"
"Yeah, that's perfect. See ya!"
"Bye."

Woah, I can't believe she accepted...well, tonight's gonna be interesting.

Ericka.

As soon as I hung up, I went crazy with excitement.

YES, FINALLY! I thought it would never happen, but it is! Is this technically a date? Did he say "hang out" as a cover-up?

Okay, I should probably stop thinking so deep and go get ready.

....

It's almost 8:30, and I'm sitting and waiting for Damien to get here very impatiently. He didn't even tell me where we're going, but I don't care, I get to be alone with him!

After about five minutes, I got the text from him telling me he was outside, and I practically rushed out my apartment. I slowed down once I walked out the building so I don't show how happy I actually am.
