Practice makes perfect-VARCHIE

Prelude
Veronica and Archie are really close friends who have known each other since preschool. One night Veronica decides to teach Archie a few tips for his date.

Veronica pov

"You're still on the math questions?" I say. "Well yeah, it's math." he says. "It's not that hard. All you need to do is divide then multiply." I say "Who cares, I'm moving on to my history homework." he says. I laugh and hit him on the playfully with my text book.

"So Archie, Are you excited for your date this Friday?" I ask. He shrugs "Sort of. I feel like it's gonna be really awkward." he says "It's always awkward on the first date." I say

"Have you even talked to Valerie? I've never seen you two with each other."
"Well of course I've talked to her. We sit next to each other in Science and English." he says.

He looks down to his work and he seems nervous and un-prepared. "I'm gonna give you some tips." I say. He looks up "Tips?". I nod "I'll tell you everything you need to know to make Valerie enjoy this date." I say.

"Uh okay.." he says. I stand up and he does the same. "Firstly, Always pull out her seat for her. Secondly, Never talk about yourself a lot. Talk about her alot! Girls love it when you talk about them.. but don't ask too many questions otherwise she'll find you creepy." I say.

"Should I be taking notes?" 
"No, Just pay attention." I say. "At the start ask "Would you like a drink?". And please Archie, Do not eat sloppy like you normally do." I say. "I do not eat sloppy!" he says. "Anyway, If dinner went well take her out dancing. Josie told me that she loves to dance so that'll score you a point."

"But I don't dance." (hit it out of the park! srry hsm vibes) he says. "Well I'm gonna teach you." I say "Oh boy." he says.

"A very popular dance that couples do is the grind (lolol)." I say "Hm?"
"Basically she'll turn around and her back will be against you like so." I say and turn around so my back is facing him. "Then you place your hands on her hips." I say and bring his hands up. "And then you both just sway to the music."

"Ronnie". he whispers "Yes?" I say back "This is really awkward without music." he says and chuckles. "Doesn't matter. But do you know how to do it?" I ask.
"Yep. So.. when are we done? Cause I'm really hungry." he says with his chin on my shoulder.

"One last important thing." I say and turn around. "When was the last time you kissed someone?"
"Wait what?" he says. "I said, When was the last time you kissed someone?" I say. "Uuh I don't know.. Sixth grade?"  he says.

"Wow that's a long time ago." I say. "What why? What are you gonna do?"

Archie pov
"Archie what if you guys kiss? You might stuff up the moment since you haven't kissed anyone in a long time." she says. I rub my eyes for a moment "Veronica what are you talking about?" I say. "I'm saying that we are gonna practice kissing!" she says.

"What? No!" I say. "Oh come on, It's not gross or anything. We've seen each other naked before." I say "Yeah but that was in kindergarten when we had to get changed in the classrooms for the musical and you couldn't find your underwear so I gave you mine. But it kept falling down." I say and we both start laughing. "Just come on." she says. I sigh "Fine."

"Ok great. Just go with the flow. Don't go too rough or too soft." she says. "Ready?" she says. "I guess so." I say.
She cups my face and kisses me gently. She then starts to french kiss but my lips just stay still. She wacks me on the shoulder, Meaning she wants me to move as well. Our lips then move in sync.

We then pull apart and she licks her lips. "Wow. You don't even need practice! That was perfect!" she says
"It was?" I say. She nods "Well this lesson is over." she says and gathers her books "I guess I'll see you tomorrow." I say and grab my bag and head towards her bedroom door

"Wait Archie."
"Yeah?" I say and turn around. She slowly walks up to me. "I know you're going on a date with  Valerie and all but.. I just wanted to let you know that my feelings for you have changed.. I don't want to be friends anymore..." she says "Do you not want to be my friend anymore?" I say concerned.

"You know what I mean." she says. I lean in and give her a kiss on the LiPs. "I do. And I also feel the same way." I say. She then grabs my neck and we kiss pAsSiOnAtLeY. "On second thought...You don't reeeaally have to go." she says and locks her door.
