PRELUDE.
Archie hasn't been in a good place lately.. His girlfriend left him one night and took all her belongings without notice and he lost his job. He hasn't had anyone to turn to. he lives in Malibu with only two friends. But when Cheryl has a reunion/new years eve party things change when he spots a raven haired princess after 10 years.

It was a Thursday afternoon and Archie was on his way to Starbucks since he has nothing to do. (me) "Sorry." he says as he bumps into someone. "It's ok- Archie?!" says a familiar voice. Archie turns around to see the one and only Kevin Keller. "Kev! I haven't seen you in forever! How's it been?" he asks "Yeah it's been alright, How about you?" says Kevin. "It hasn't been so well. But yeah what can you do." says Archie and shrugs. "Oh that's sad to hear.. Have you checked your emails for Cheryl's reunion/new years eve party?" asks Kevin. "I don't really check my emails that much." says Archie.

"Well you should! Anyways Cheryl's Party is this Saturday in LA. You coming?" says Kevin "I'll think about." says Archie. "Great! Well I need to go now but I hope to see you there." says Kevin. He waves goodbye and walks off.

While Archie's walking he thinks about it briefly. He hasn't seen everyone in a long time. They'll all have perfect jobs! Except Reggie.. He got arrested.. And what if they ask him what he does for a living! That'll probably be a let down for them because they all excepted him to become rich and famous at their graduation ceremony...

He keeps thinking about his two close friends and his raven haired beauty. Oh how he misses them so much. Archie doesn't really like to remember all their memories in high school... it just makes him sad knowing that it's all over. So basically you can say that Archie is depressed. He isn't the same guy that he used to be in high school.

(Time skip to Archie at his hotel room in LA getting ready for Cheryl's party)

Archie pov

The theme was gold and black so I just wore a black tuxedo with a golden tie. On the invitation it said 'Must be elegant'.

I sprayed my cologne and fixed my hair "Well it's now or never" I said and headed out.

I arrived at Cheryl's penthouse. The place was huge! She's a famous actress so it makes sense. The elevator is crowded with celebrities going up to the rooftop (where the party is). Next to me is Chris Hemsworth and Zac Efron. And in front is Ariana Grande, Zendaya and Vanessa Hudgens. Wow Cheryl must be pretty famous then.

The door slides open to loud music and people dancing. I step out and look around. There's is basically people from my school mixed in with some celebrities. "Archie! So glad you could make it!" says Cheryl coming up to me "Hey Cheryl. Long time." I say. "Wow you look amazing! Drinks are over by the bar and the bathroom is on the level below." she says "I'll see you around." she says and walks off.

I go over to the bar and sit down. "One Martini please." I ask. The bartender nods. All of a sudden I feel two arms wrap around my torso. "Miss me?" says a soft voice behind me. I turn around to see her. The most beautiful girl in the world.

"Ronnie!" I say. She giggles and gives me a hug "Archiekins." she says. We hug each other for a long time until she pulls away. "It feels like forever! How are you?" she asks. "I-I..I." I stutter not knowing what to say. She looks amazing. Her hair is longer, She's wearing a gold sparkly dress that fits her curves perfectly and is open at the back. "I haven't been in a really good place right now.." I say.

She frowns. "Why what happened?" she says. "Well firstly my girlfriend left me, I lost my job and I have no one to turn to.. it's been so lonely in Malibu." I  say

Veronica pov

Archie tells me how he's been. I feel so bad for him he doesn't deserve this. "Well she just made the biggest mistake of her life by leaving you." I say and he blushes.

The song Swalla by Jason Derulo comes on. "Oh my god I love this song! We need to dance!" I say and pull him onto the dance floor crowded with sweat and alcohol. I swiftly move my body around him and he spins me around.

I don't know what time it is but all I know is that Me and Archie were dancing normally with each other then next thing you know we're grinding.

His chin is leaning against my shoulder and his hands on my hips as we sway to the music thinking that we're the only people on the dance floor.

The music then changes to slow music. I turn around to place my arms around his neck and he keeps his hands in his position. "It's been so long that I feel like I don't know you at all." says Archie and chuckles. "Well... After high school and after we broke up.. I went to a design university here and studied fashion design and things started looking good for me ever since one of my designs was displayed at a fashion show. And after that my designs were becoming popular so I decided to create my own clothing line." I say. "Wow that's amazing." he says. "What about you?" I ask. "Well I pretty much summarised it already." he says. "Don't worry Archie, Things will change for you. I know it." I say.

Everyone starts to gather around since it's 11:55. I lean my head against Archie's shoulder. I think I'm falling for him all over again.  He looks down at me and smiles the lights are reflecting off his white teeth.  "It's almost time!" shouts Cheryl from a platform.

"3...2...1 HAPPY NEW YEAR!" everyone shouts. "Archie.." I say. He looks at me and I pull him into a kiss. "Happy new year." I say. He kisses back "Happy New Ronnie." he says in between kisses.

The fireworks distracted everyone from the fact that the young couple found their way back to each other.

After Cheryl's party, Archie moved in with Veronica and he found a job as a songwriter/ music producer at LA Records. After living with each other for a few months Archie proposed to Veronica.

They couldn't be happier.
