In the city of Mustafa, a young boy has just turned 4 years old. This boy, with his raven black hair and contrastingly bright blue eyes, looks up to his mother, a woman with the same black hair as her son, only with a pair of eerily violet eyes. The boy happily bounces on the balls of his feet, waiting for his smiling mother to give him what he wants. "Uh-uh. You'll get your present after we get your quirk checked." She kneels down to eye height with the young boy who begins pouting. "I'll tell you what. If you get a cool quirk, I'll get you an extra special present." The boy lets out a short squeal of excitement as he rushes behind his Mum, pushing her from behind. "Okay, okay, no need to rush." The woman giggles happily at her son's adorable attempts to make her go faster.
Entering the doctor's office, they are greeted by the receptionist, a middle-aged lady with curly brown hair and four, red eyes. "Hello there, is the little one here for a Quirk examination?" The small boy jumps up, latching his small hands into the desk and leaving his feet dangling in the air. "Yep! I'm gonna get an awesome quirk! Just like Mum!" The boy's happiness prompts the receptionist to smile warmly and the other patients in the waiting room to let out a short "aww" at the cute boy. "Alright. I just need your name and some credentials from your Mum and we can get things rolling." "Sora!" The boy shouts, almost not letting her finish her sentence. "Saki Sakkaku. Here." The boy's mother hands the receptionist the required paperwork, receiving a nod of approval from the receptionist before leading her son to a pair of seats.
As the two sit down, a news report appears on the television. The reporter speaks over footage of what seems to have been a large battle between heroes and villains. It doesn't take long before the video shifts to show the villain in cuffs, led away by an entourage of policemen while the symbol of hope, Allmight, stands proudly behind them, waving to all the onlookers and fans. "Allmight! Is there anything you'd like to say after this show of heroism today?" The screen is immediately filled with the daunting yet calming smile of the number one hero. "Villains, beware. As long as I am here, your evil deeds shall not go unpunished!" The camera zooms out, showing the pro hero in a proud stance as the onlookers cheer for him. "Plus Ultra!!" With a final shout, the blonde man leaps away, leaving a powerful gust that knocks over the camera man.
Meanwhile, behind the front desk, the four eyed receptionist glances over to her computer, checking over the forms given to her. "Sora Sakkaku...Mother is Saki Sakkaku and Father is Henso Sakkaku. Oh?" Clicking on the area of the boy's parents forms listed "Quirk", a sly grin forms on the otherwise kindly lady's face. "Sora Sakkaku. The doctor will see you now." The Black haired boy lets out a short squeal as he hops out of his chair and grabs his mother's arm. "Come onnnn!" "Alright, alright, we're going." Saki lets out a short chuckle at her son's excitable behaviour.
A short while later, the stout doctor takes a seat at his desk in front of the pair, scrolling through the results on his computer as he scratches his bold head. On the screen, a sentence is displayed in the "Quirk" box, however it is quickly erased before the doctor turns to face the mother-son pair. "Well? What are the results doctor?" The doctor lets out a heavy breath, the wind escaping his nose ruffling the hairs of his comb-like moustache. "Your son...Is the epitome of a healthy child. However, I'm sorry to say that he is quirkless." Saki seems shocked with wide eyes and mouth agape. Sora on the other hand, doesn't appear to understand what has been said, tilting his head to the side in a confused manner. "What's Quirkless? Mum?" The mother of one snaps out of her daze, slowly shifting her gaze towards her child with a look of pure distress. "It...It means..." Saki is obviously struggling to tell her son, the boy who was so excited to finally know what his quirk is, that he would never have one of his own. Seeing the woman barely able to mutter a sentence, the doctor speaks up. "It means that you do not have a Quirk." "Doctor!" Saki snaps at the doctor, aware that it was necessary to tell him but equally aware that it should have been handled with much more caution and care.
