Chapter 3

I clamp my mouth shut, which was all I could do to keep me from screaming. Finally I pry my eyes open just in time to create a wind to buffet my 100 foot fall so that I land gently on my feet. Wow, that happened! Brushing off dirt (that was probally not there) I walked across a bussling street and made my way into the city. I know that not all city people are hopless in the sense of nature and thats where I'm heading. A few years ago a girl named Rose wondered into the forest on a dare. Cold, Hungry and terrified she walked lost in the huge forest that surrounds the city. Lucky for her I happened to find just as a viper was about to strike. In just a blink of an eye I pulled out and arrow and shot the snake in the head. Rose screamed and ran into my arms, crying while thanking me over and over again. I brought her to my home, fed her and let her rest. The next day I took her to the edge of the city and she gave me her address incase I ever needed help. Well now I needed that help, so I started searching. I know she lived in a apartment, but that didn't help since that seemed to be the only type of home there are. The buildings seem to all be towers that scratched the sky, just barley giving room for all the streets that trace around the small city. Hours passed as I searched for her address, finally when the sun was basking the city in color that it desperatly needed, I found her looking out her window on the third floor. Glancing side to side to make sure no one was paying attention to me, I reach down and grab a small pebble. I toss it lightly on her window, she jumps back startled and then looks down. Finally, I found her, "Hey!" I shouted, Her face lit up and then turned around and bolted. After a minutes i saw her burst out the the building, running full speed towards me and doesn't seem to be slowing down."EMlISA!" she screamed, "hi Rose" I replyed after recovering from her nearly knocking me to the ground. "What are you doing here, you said it would take the world to start crumbling around you to force you here?" I cringe at her question. "Well actually my world is crumbling..." I reply " Can we go inside, I will explain everything there." Concern fills her green eyes, Funny, I never noticed that golden ring around her pupils before?"Sure, my parents are on a business trip and wont be back for a few days."

"So I came here to see if you could help me." I concluded. I look at Rose after spending most of the time explaining looking at my shoes. But when I look for her reaction I see pity and nervousness, like she is holding back information along with her breath. "Well, I will I'm sorry for your troubles, but knowing you, you probally don't care for pity?" "You got that right, but what I really care for is info on the Roung, I need to know where they are so that I can destroy them and take back Jessica!" I tell her, my anger rising by the thought of Jessica's kidnapping. What suprises me is Rose's look, as if she is debating with herself weither she should spill, and strong offense as if I had just thretened her instead of the Roung. Finally she replies " I can only offer you shelter and food here, but for info on the Roung I can only tell to look in the Kids Haven." I look at her funny, since the Kids Haven sounds like a day care for babies. she sighs," When you are there look for the airbender section, then whisper *Magus and a invisible door will open for five seconds, same thing for exiting the hang out." I imediantly light up, " Thank you, Rose!" I shout as I bolt out the door. All I heard was a faint thank you on my way out.
