First Day Here We Go

     Wally sighed looking down at the paper he held in his hands. He wasn't ready to start over at a new school half way through the year ,but he was doing it for Batman. No, for Rob. Bats had told him that Rob had been acting odd. He told him that he has been all over the place recently and that he didn't have his mind on the job like he should, so Wally was told to keep an eye on Robin to make sure everything was ok at school and at the cave, and that was exactly what he was gonna do because Rob was his best friend so why wouldn't he. He shakes his head getting his mind off of what he had gotten himself into before looking back at his new schedule. The top corner said Wallace West with additional information about him except for his address which was changed to say '1007 mountain drive gotham city il 60035' his gaze went down the page to see his classes.

     He finishes reading the schedule and than looks up at the school. It was the complete opposite of his school in Central City. He looks down at his schedule wants more before folding it and slipping it into his pants pocket. He takes a deep breathe before walking through the school gate tugging at the tie to his new uniform. He hated what this school had them wear he felt like such a dork in the stupid uniform.

     When he had gotten a few steps away from the stairs he hears a female voice sarcastically call out to him "Hey Wallman". Wally quickly turns around to be facing the one and only Artemis. He looks her up and down for a few seconds not replying. He chuckle causing Artemis to glare at him "What so funny Baywatch" she says crossing her arms. "Nice skirt Artemis" he says sarcastically while snickering. "Look at your own clothes before trying to make fun of mine Baywatch" she says. Wally rolled his eyes putting his hands in his pockets "Stop calling me Baywatch Arty". Artemis uncrossed her arms and poked him in the chest "Don't call me Arty" she says seriously obviously getting annoyed. A smirk comes across Wally's face "Arty Arty Arty Arty" he repeats loudly with a slight childish tone. Artemis grabs him by his shirt and pulled her fist up ready to hit him. Wally puts his arms up in front of his face to protect himself from Artemis' anger.

    Out of nowhere a short raven haired boy grabs her fist pulling it down away from Wally's face. "Kid? What are you doing here" the boy asks with a confused look on his face. Wally looks him up and down for a few seconds. "Oh hey Ro-Richard" Wally says quickly covering up the fact that he almost called him Rob "I umm I got uncle Barry to transfer me here because of all the opportunities this school has." He says. That's what Bats told him to say at least. They both knew if Rob knew the real reason he would go off. He had never liked it when Bats kept tabs on him. "Oh okay. Well it's nice to have you here with us" Richard says with a big smile.

     "Who is this Dick" a red head girl asks pointing at me. "I almost forgot Babs this is Wally. Wally this is Barbara." He says with a big smile pointing back and forth between Wally and Barbara. Wally smiles and reaches his hand out shaking Babs hand.

     Wally then turns to face Richard once again. "So can i ask you a couple of questions?" He asks still smiling. "I mean you would ask any way so go ahead" he says shrugging his shoulders. Wally get a childish smile "Can i call you Dick?" He asked trying to keep a straight face. "No" Richard quickly answers. Wally pouts and opens his mouth to speak again before Dick interrupts him. "And before you ask what it's because you would joke to much about it" his face has an expression that says he isn't very amused. Wally rolls his eyes "your no fun" he says.

     Artemis facepalms "goodness I swear you have the humor of a child" she says seeming annoyed. "No i don't!" Wally shouts not realizing how loud he was. He face gets pink when he realizes people are staring at him "sorry" he says to the people around them. Artemis started laughing quietly to herself. "It's not funny...Arty" he pauses before calling her Arty because he didn't want her to realize he was about to call her it again. She looks over at him giving him a death glare. He opens his mouth to shout the nickname once more, but was interrupted by Dick "You two stop. Wally what's your other question?" He asks.

    "Oh I was gonna ask if you and Babs are a couple" Wally says with a smirk on his face. Both of their faces become pink Babs face being a darker shade than Richards. "No" they both said quickly at the same time. Artemis starts laughing at the two. "Oh so you found that funny Artemis I thought you said I have the humor of a child" Wally says with a smirk. Artemis quickly makes a serious expression "Shut up Baywatch" she says crossing her arms. Wally glares and opens his mouth about to argue with her, but is interrupt by the bell ringing to tell everyone to head to class. Everything just wants to interrupt Wally today. He sighs shaking his head before running off into the school to get to his new locker.

    After a few minutes Wally walks over to his locker and opens it. He emptied his book bag into his locker and puts his text book in his bag. Before he shuts it Artemis walks over. "Why are you over here Arty? I mean I get that the Wallman is just sooo amazing but it's kinda weird having you follow me" Wally says with a cocky smile. Artemis rolls her eyes "Don't flatter yourself Baywatch. I'm just going into my locker" she says while opening the locker next to Wally's. "What? No, why? Out of everyone I could have a locker next to it had to be you" he says with an annoyed tone. "I guess you're just that lucky" Artemis says with a smirk. Wally rolls his eyes "Whatever im going to class I'm not gonna be late on my first day" he says before shutting his locker and heading to class.
