School Yard Crush

First Period

Wally runs into his first class right as the bell rings signaling that your late. He smiles pridefully, but that smile faded quickly when he heard a male voice "Your late." The male says in a harsh tone. Wally turned around quickly on his heels ''No I was not!" He says loudly back in a defensive tone. When he turned he was face to face with a not so happy teacher that towered him in height. Wally gulped already seeing where he messed up. "Mr.West if you are not seated when the bell rings then you are late and if you speak rudely like that to me again you will be put in detention young man. Those are the rules new or not. Now take your seat Mr.West'' the teacher says with an annoyed tone staring into Wally's soul. At least that's what it felt like to Wally. The man pointed at the empty seat in the front row. He examined the 2 boys next to his new seat. On the left of his seat was a short raven haired guy who was turned around chatting with a cute Latino girl. On the right of his desk was a buff blonde guy asleep drooling on his desk. Wally sighs and sadly walks to his new seat sitting down between the two. When he took his seat he started examining his teacher. He was a tall, skinny, mixed man, with dark brown eyes. Before he could finish examining his new teacher he started talking again. "Look up and Mr.Thomas wake up" he says with a kinda loud rude tone and then smack the buff boy's desk with a ruler. The blonde pops up quickly wiping his face clean and rubbing his eyes. The raven haired boy followed and quickly turned to stay out of trouble. After a minute Wally notices that it was Rob. He says in relief now knowing he wasn't alone in his class like he thought he would be. 

"What made you think you could fall asleep in my class?" he says glaring at the blonde. "I-im sorry Mr. Blake I was up all night studying" the blonde replied obviously lying. Mr. Blake smirked "Oh really? Then who is the most beloved resident of Gotham?" He asks while taking a step back and holding his ruler in both hands. "Uhhhh" he paused for a second "Batman of course"

"Wrong. Who knows the answer?" The teacher quickly says back. Anthony pops up in his seat "What?! Batman is the best. You're wrong" he says obviously annoyed. "No I am not. Many police officers say he is just a vigilante" he says hitting the boy's desk again causes him to quickly sit.

"Do you think Batman is just a vigilante?" Rob says keeping his cool, but Wally knew him way too well. The kid was annoyed. "Truthfully yes I do" he gives his attention to rob before continuing "Batman is just another vigilante. He is no hero. Just some weirdo running around in a costume. Now what is the answer to my question Richard?" He finishes. "But he is a hero he sa-" he is interrupted by they're teacher "answer the question Mr.Grayson". Rob looks down in defeat. "Thomas Wayne," he says, giving the teacher what he wanted. "Correct but it does not get you off the hook for not listening and back talking. This is your warning Mr.Grayson. "I understand," he replies, still looking down.

"Good. Now for the rest of class I want everyone to get together with a partner and every group to pick a Gotham Villain and write a report on him or her. Get to work" he says before sitting down at his desk.

Wally turns to rob immediately "do you wanna be my partner?" He asked. Rob laughs a bit "who else would I be partners with. Wally points his thumb at the girl he was talking to earlier. Rob leans in towards Wally "Who Ashley? Hell no she's an idiot. Plus we can't let yj get out to these people. They all talk too much." He says. Wally nods understanding where Rob was coming from. Though Robin didn't trust anyone he knew he had a point. 

"So did you find your locker" Rob says changing the subject to make sure he was getting used to the school ok. "Yes but it's right next to Artibitch's" he says with annoyance. "Dude. We're in school" rod reminds his ginger friend. "Fine fartemis" he says as the bell rings.

Richard and Wally went our separate ways to get to second. When he gets to his locker to see Artemis talking to Barbra and another ninth grade girl. The other girl was Barbara's height with blonde hair in a tight French braid all held together with a rose bow. That was all he could see. Well that and the look Barbra was giving the girl. Artemis then shuts her locker and all the girls walk away. Wally grabs his English and math binders and then makes his way to his next class.
