Y/n pov

"Come on wake up! Don't die like this! Please," sobs came from around the trees.

"Hello?" I cry out to the other being.

"Y/n?" my haunter appears in front of me.

"But I'm dead. Why are you still here?"

"Because you are not dead. Just sleeping."

"But," I walk over to where he was before.

"See? We need someone to help," I stared at my body I was cut and I remember a gunshot. I look for a bullet hole.

"Where is the bullet? I was shot. I felt it."

"Over here. I saw a girl fall!" a little boy maybe in his teens yells.

"But Harry there is no one over here," the girl trails off staring at my body on the ground.

"I told you! Call 911," he reaches for my wrist. He places his fingers on my wrist finding my pulse. I feel his warm fingers on my wrist.

"Hello," slight pause, "this girl fell off this cliff," slight pause. "Pulse?" the boy nods, " yes yes there is a pulse. Please help and come fast she looks terrified almost," slight pause. "Ok thank you. Bye," slight pause. she hangs up.

"Why can't they see me?" I wobble on my feet.

"They can just not... they can only see your body," I felt something that wasn't right. My chest was collapsing in on me.

"April, do you see this," the boy reveals a burn in the middle of my chest. I feel the scar.

"I didn't have this, this morning," the scar felt warm.

"It looks fresh," she touches the warm scar.

"I can't do this anymore," I go to touch the girl's shoulder.

"Don't, you could upset the balance," the ghost pulls me back.

"What balance? I don't even know you, why should I listen to you?"

"My name is Gary. I want to protect you, not to suffer the same fate as I," sirens approach.

A tall slender man walks over to my body. "How long has she been here?" he asks the children checking my pulse. His touch is cold and doesn't feel right.

"Half an hour, at most, at least fifteen," April answers.

"I saw her throw herself off right there," Harry answers.

"Ok," the man stares into my eyes. His brown eyes turning red. I move to the left. His eyes don't leave my eyes.

"Blink twice if you can hear me," I say. The man blinks twice.

"Help get her onto a stretcher," he looks me up and down.

Gary and I get into the back of the ambulance. "Female early to mid-twenties," a petite female nurse tells the red-eyed man.

"Pulse is good but faint," he looks into my eyes once more.

"One blink is yes two is no," I demand.

"She should be able to get to a stable state," the sirens come on.

"Are you gonna help me?" I ask the man.

"Ok," he blinks once.

"Can you see him?" I point toward Gary. He moves his gaze. He blinks once.

"Maybe he can help put you back together."

"Are we getting close?" the man asks through a radio.

"Yes sir," a man answers through the radio. A few more silent minutes pass. "Here sir," the vehicle stops.

"Pull her out get her stable then run a diagnostic. I have to make a call," the man with red eyes commands the female nurse.

"Yes sir," she pulls me out of the ambulance.

"Family. List them now."

"My mother died in a car accident, my father hates me. You can call my boyfriend."

"Ok, you call him then."

"I can't do that. I can't interact with you guys. I can't even touch anything."

"Find a way. What is your name?"

"She can't tell you," Gary saves my butt thank god.

"My id is in my wallet. In my pants. You'll find it."

"Ok. I have to go now. The name is Fred."

"Nice to meet you, Fred. I best get going too," I waved and appeared in front of Colby.

"I should have gone after her," Colby was talking to someone.

"I know son. She just doesn't know how much she means to you," that voice sounds familiar.

"Why didn't you stop her?" Colby asks in tears.

"I told her I couldn't. Then a shot rang out and she flung herself over the edge," he now sounds really familiar I get a glance of him.

"Thanks for telling me. By the way, how did you find me?" Colby asks.

"She dropped this," he hands Colby my phone. My phone was locked in my car.

"He broke into my car!" I screamed.

"Did you hear that?" Colby turns around and looks right through me.

"Hear what?" the guard looks over Colby's shoulder.

"Thought I heard something. Well, thanks for letting me know. Are you sure she's well," he stops.

"I called the cops told them what I just told you. They said they'd call me back when they find her."

"Y/N! WAKE UP ALREADY!" I scream.
