Scenario: Jade and Doug, who had been dating for a year by the time he proposed to her, are now preparing for their wedding on the beach in Scotland. It seems like it will go smoothly: Doug's nephew Kenneth will perform an instrumental version of Jade's favorite song at the reception, Abi, Doug's ex-wife, gets along very well with Jade, and the kids seem to adore Jade. But after they arrive at their hotel in Scotland, two days before the wedding, Jade finally realizes after being so busy with wedding preparations that she has missed her period.
