Saiki's POV:

"We should probably start working on the poster, and start picking some quotes out for it too, don't you think, Toruh?" I asked her.

Toruh looked thoughtful for a moment before nodding in a agreement.

"We definitely should if we don't want to stalk pile our work until the day before it's due." She said to the rest of the boys in the group.

"Yeah, probably." Agreed Kaidou.

"We should go over to someone's house this afternoon and start working on it!" Suggested Nendo excitedly.

'I know where this is going, but I hope I'm wrong.'

'Even though I never am.'

"We could have it at my-" Toritsuka began.

"Let's go to Saiki's place!" Kaidou interrupted Toritsuka.

"Yeah!" Said Nendo as he fist pumped enthusiastically.

"Saiki's mom is a way better cook, and she won't make us study because we don't look smart, too." Nendo half whispered into Toruh's ear.

Kaidou, hearing the mild insult, made to retaliate but stopped to think about it for a moment and then just crossed his arms and glared at Nendo.

'He's right but he's an arse for bringing that up to Toruh-chan.' Kaidou's thoughts echoed throughout my head.

'Oh, so you've given her a nickname that you can't actually call her by because you're afraid she'll call you out on it? That's rich.'

"Saiki, is that alright with you?" Asked Toruh hesitantly.

'It doesn't matter what I say, you will all end up at my house anyways.'

"Yeah." I replied bluntly.

'What have I gotten myself into?'

We all agreed- well they agreed, I submitted myself to this- that everyone would come over around 4 to start working on the poster and presentation.

Kaidou and Toritsuka had volunteered to bring poster paper as well as pencils, markers, etc. On the outside, they were doing it to be nice, but each of their thoughts told me it was means to impress Toruh.

Toruh and I decided that was fine, and that we could all take turns providing poster supplies until the final draft. She also suggested that we could all draw and write things on our own papers of what we would like to see on the poster and in the presentation. It was her way of making sure that everyone participated in the project.

So when 4 rolled around, Nendo showed up up at my place, and soon enough Toritsuka and Kaidou showed up with an abundance of school supplies in tow.

"Where's Toruh? I'd have thought she was the first one to show up." Toritsuka asked me, putting down his supplies.

"She had soccer practice today. Playoffs are coming up so they're having more and longer practices." Kaidou said from across the room while unloading supplies.

"You think she's any good?" Nendo asked whilst trying to make a paper crane, but failing miserably.

"She's captain of the team, and the team nominates the captain every season, so she must be pretty good. I doubt she'd be captain if she wasn't any good." I said in a slightly raised tone before I could stop myself.

All three of them looked at me before Nendo went back to making his paper crane. But Toritsuka and Kaidou stared at me for a moment before glancing at each other from the side.
