Chapter 3: Just try

After dinner my mom put her plate in the sink and sat back on the couch. My brother went to take a shower because he smelt worse then gorilla poop. I walked into my room and fell into my bed. I was so tired. It's always hard work of taking care of a family and at my age you shouldn't be a mom yet. But sometimes you have to be the mom figure if it helps keep your family together. I went to grab my video camera and looked through it. I saw my dad and I dancing together thpwing football's together and him holding my brother and I up and spinning us around. It made me smile and laugh, when I just wanted to cry, but I couldn't cry not any day I have yo be strong... like my dad. He would want that.
"Love ya dad. I miss you, but I know I'll see you someday." I said looking at my video camera and a picture of him smiling.
"Hey sis, we are our of clean towels and I had to use yours so... are you watching videos of dad again." Mason said having a concerned look on his face.
"Yeah I miss him." I said still looking at the camera because if I looked at him I think I would cry.
Mason walked over and sat at the end of my bed. He looked at me with his huge green eyes and I could see he was holding in his tears too.
"Dad really loved you Noe, it's okay." Mason said moving his arms for a hug.
I crawled over and put my head on his lap.
"Why did it happen mason why him." I said with the tears just flying out.
I leaned on the side not facing him I just couldn't let him see me cry even though he knew I was crying.
"Noe, it's not your fault it's no one's fault he just had to go." Mason said trying to give advice, but he was never to good at it.
"Mason I have to work hard to keep the house clean make food and do everything around here and I just feel dead." I said making no sense just spilling out everything that came to my head.
"Noe, you are a amazing person your full of life and you always make everyone feel better your just so... happy and you always have been." Mason said hugging me tightly
"And I'll make sure no one changes you. I promise." He said still hugging me tightly.
"Thanks mason your the best brother ever." I said still crying but feeling better now that I talked to someone
"And your the best sister ever."
A few minutes past by and then I brake the silence
"Hey mason, do you think I should keep trying to become friends with a person that always scares people away?"
"Wow that's out of the blue dude, but I think you should always try and if you make no progress well at least you know you tried." Mason said patting me on the head.
"Your right I'm gonna keep trying till I run out of supplise for cookies"I said getting up and sitting on the bed.
"What!? Okay, Noe you have ruined the moment and that's my thing so I'm just gonna go." Mason said getting up heading to the door.
"Okay latter bro." I said laying down on my bed turning on Netflix.
"Yup." Mason said holding up the peace sighn then shut the door.
"Don't worry dad I'm not going to give up." I said and turned in Netflix and went to sleep.
