Chapter 1
The fairytale characters traveled through the forest looking for a way to penetrate the the shield. Suddenly a creature with wings came out from the shadows. It's claws just missed Neal's cape.

"Papa!" Roland screamed.

It swooped low and reached for roland but regina flew into action. She grabbed Roland before the beast could grab him. The best ascended higher into the sky to turn around. Before it had the chance to attack Regina turned the beast into a stuffed monkey.

"Now he's not so scary anymore." Regina smiled at Roland.

"Thank you." Robin said. His expression was enough for Regina.

"There are secret entrances to the castle. I'll go through one and go after this witch." Regina announced.

"I'm going with you." Snow said.

"No your not. Its a one woman job. I don't care if the lolly pop fairies are guarding her castle. I'm doing this alone." Regina said.

Regina walked away into the enchanted forest to embark on her plan. Little did she know someone was following her.

~Later that day~
Regina lifted a rock using a levitation spell. She threw the rock behind her and saw a glimpse of someone with a torch by a tree.

"No." She declared

"What? Not coming with you? I don't think so." Robin insisted.

"This is way to dangerous for a thief like you and you'll just get in my way." Regina said.

"You saved my son's life. It's the least I can do." Robin said.

Regina could tell he wasn't going to back down. They walked towards each other, their tension escalating.

"Fine. But stay out of my way." Regina told him.

"I wouldn't dream of it." Robin agreed.

As they traveled through the underground cave they encountered traps.

"Ah. How lovely." Robin added.

"It was meant to keep people, like you, out." Regina replied.

They made their way to the castle entrance but found Regina's blood lock door unlocked.

"I take it that your child didn't come with us?" Robin asked.

"How did you know I was a mother?" Regina asked as they made their way up the stairs to Regina's bedroom.

"The way you grabbed Roland, it was a mother's touch." Robin said.

"My son was lost during the curse. I'm not seeing him anytime soon." Regina added with the pain in her voice.

Regina's sorrow questioned her life. When they reach her room Regina went through her potion box.

Robin readied his bow at Regina. "What is that?" He demanded.

"How dare you raise a weapon at me." Regina announced as she squeezed his throat with magic.

"Even if you choke me to death my arrow will release and I never miss my target." Robin said.

Regina let go and Robin lowered his weapon.

"It's none of your concern. I'm just making a spell." Regina assured him.

"Who's it for?" He asked

"No one anyone will miss." Regina said.

When Robin tried to walk towards Regina, she froze his feet to the ground so he couldn't come any closer.

"Regina when I lost my wife, I thought I was done. I didn't think my life was worth living. Everyone has second chances. Take a second chance Regina." Robin said trying to comfort Regina.

"It's too bad I already used my second chance." Regina said as she left her bedroom.

She made her way toward the source of the shield in the garden and destroyed the magic. She sat down on a bench looking out to the forest.

"I'm sorry Henry. I just hope some day you will come back for me and wake me up." Regina was just about to prove her finger with the sleeping spell when the Wicked Witch appeared.

"Your not even going to say hello?" the witch asked sarcastically.

"I'm not in the mood just let me be." Regina insisted.

The witch waved her hand and the spindle disappeared out of Regina's hands.

"You can call me Zelena. I've already been through the entire castle so I won't be here much longer." She replied.

"That's my dress." Regina said standing up and walking over to the green faced witch.

"Yes, I had to take it in a little at the hips but I think it fits me quite well." Zelena replied.

Regina glared at the insult and stepped toward her. "How did you get past my blood lock?"

"Same way you could. Didn't Cora ever tell you?" Zelena asked suspiciously.

"Tell me what? How do you know my mother?" Regina asked confused and nervous.

"Same way you do. I'm your sister. Our mother gave me up because I wasn't good enough, but you. She gave you everything because you were royalty." Zelena said.

Even though Regina was lost she continued interrogating the Witch. "Believe me having her as a mother wasn't all what it was cracked up to be."

"Oh shut up! I would have so preferred having a mother than live in Oz. My life was miserable but you got everything. I'm going to take everything away from you." Zelena threatened.

"Too late. So kill me." Regina remarked.

"I'm not going to kill you. That's too easy. I want to see you suffer." Zelena replied.

"Bring it Greeny." Regina said.

Zelena smirked and flew away on her broom. Regina left the garden and went back to her room.

"You didn't go through with it?" Robin asked relieved.

Regina unfroze Robin. "You were right. I found something worth living for. I found something I haven't done in a long, long, long time... Someone to destroy." Regina smiled with a large malicious grin.

Robin looked at Regina was an unsure face not knowing what was going to happen of who she would become.
