Chapter 3

As they lowered Neal down into the ground, a small tear escaped Regina's eye. She wiped it away fast before anyone could see but Robin noticed. He placed his hand on her shoulder assuring her that he was there for her. Regina only smirked at him and brushed his hand off of her shoulder. Each person took a turn to shovel dirt into the hole over the casket. First Hook, then Charming, then Regina, then Belle, then Henry, and finally Emma.
~Later that Afternoon~
Regina stood at the end of the counter at Granny's watching Henry drink his hot chocolate from across the room. Even though Henry could not remember her she still cared and loved him deeply. Regina noticed Robin at the counter. She did not make eye contact.Tinkerbell walked over and noticed Regina looking at him. She looked at the man and noticed the tattoo.
"It's the lion tattoo." She exclaimed. "It's what was prophesied. He's your soul mate."
"I know. I saw it yesterday." Regina replied rolling her eyes.
"And you didn't tell me?" Tinkerbell asked a little hurt that her best friend did not tell her.
"Well right now I had other things to do than to gossip about boys." Regina barked.
Robin walked over and cleared his throat. Tinkerbell made room for the three of them to stand."Care for a drink?" He asked the ladies.
Tinkerbell, without any hesitation, took the glass from Robin's hands.
"I uh... I do hope I didn't upset you the other day?" He asked with sympathetic eyes.
Regina changed the subject and introduced Tinkerbell and Robin.
"I've been wanting to meet you for a very long time" Tinkerbell admitted. Regina glared at her but she wasn't phased. Robin only looked in confusion at the fairy and turned his gaze back to Regina.
"And no you didn't upset me. I just found a clue trail that needed to be followed. One that didn't lead any where. I don't daytime drink." Regina replied pointing to the drink on the counter.
"Ah well perhaps I'm leaving then." Robin said and left the two women at the counter.
"What was all that about? Didn't you learn anything from the last time you screwed this up? If you had been open to the possibility of love when you first saw him, then maybe your life wouldn't have turned out so.." Tinkerbell reminded Regina."So what? How did my life turn out?" Regina asked harshly.
"Why am I even bothering?" Tinkerbell asked herself out loud. She walked away leaving Regina alone at the counter.
Just then Zelena slammed open the diner door. "My condolences. I'm so sorry I missed the funeral. I could never pass up a wake. Oh did I miss the speeches or could I make up one? I mean I am after all responsible" Zelena waved around the Dark One's dagger showing off her power.
Emma went to lunge at her but Snow held her back. "Emma no. Too many people will get hurt."
"Listen to your mother. She's right." Zelena turned and addressed everyone in the diner. "Anyone who is going to interfere with my plan is going to have to deal with the Dark One."
Zelena stepped forward toward the Charmings. "Don't come any closer." David demanded and placed his hand over Snow's stomach.
"Oh it's ok. I'm not here for your baby. Not today anyway." Zelena walked away toward the door.
"Then why are you here?" Regina asked standing up from her stool.
Zelena quickly turned around and smiled. "Now that my cover's been blown, I can finally pay a visit to my little sister."
