"Good Morning, students," Matsuzaki Sensei greeted them at their morning announcements. "This is the last day of our Okinawa Class Trip. Today is your free day to explore and do some souvenir shopping. Stay with your groups! Don't get lost or else you're finding another way home!"

"Getting home isn't necessarily the problem..." Akemi laughed to herself. "I could really go anywhere in the world and be back before they ever noticed--"

Kusuo snapped into action as soon as he heard her train of thought. Don't get any ideas. You've already disappeared once on this trip.

She smiled, and couldn't help but think that he responded like that because he was worried. It had really shaken him up. Not just because one control device was taken out-- and his powers still had to adjust-- but also because Akemi had really scared him. He wasn't accustomed to surprises, especially when it came to her safety.

Going into their groups, Saiki's group decided to walk around and look for souvenirs.

"Look, about last night," Akemi pulled Kusuo to the side as the others continued walking forward (while eavesdropping on the couple). "I shouldn't have done that... I'm sorry."

Drawing her nearer to the wall next to them to gain a little more privacy from their group's stares, Kusuo was surprised at what she was saying.

"I caused a lot of trouble for you and I completely understand if you're still mad at me--"

Kusuo noticed the stares, but didn't care about that in the moment. The two were walking near a building and Kusuo decided to be straightforward with his feelings for Akemi. Placing his hand against the wall behind Akemi, kabe-don style (A/N: please look it up if you don't know what that is because it's beautiful), he lingered over her and drew his face closer to hers.

His eyebrows were knit in an intense and sincere stare-- as though she was the only thing he was thinking about (which she was).

I could never be mad at you, Aki.

Her face reddened deeply as she looked into his focused gaze. They stood there for a while, staring into each other's eyes, until the stares from their friends became too intense to ignore. Slowly moving from their previous kabe-don position, they walked over to their group in silence.
