knock knock knock! "Avian time to get up honey come on now or you'll miss the bus!"
Avian Alfrun turned on his side and groaned loudly to let his mother know he was awake. when he heard her footsteps recede down the hall he lay-ed back down like always. trying to get an extra five minutes of sleep...
knowing her son Luna walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. it had taken her the better part of a decade to learn how to cook and use the kitchen appliances. now that she understood the human world better she was able to pass for a stay at home mother. while Archer worked at something the humans called a law firm?
not long after she'd started making break fest her sister and best friend Charm walked in to the kitchen scratching then smoothing her silk black mane.
"good morning Luna"
"good morning Charm, was Avian coming out of his room when you came down?"
"of course why?"
"never mind i was just making sure"
"whatever you say Lun i'm going to be late today so i'll speak with you this evening ok?"
"that's fine Char i'll see you this eve"
once Charm had eaten and left for her own job. Avian was just making his way in to the kitchen wearing a pair white skinny jeans and a white tank top. his white blue hair styled so that his bangs fell over his left eye. the small golden hoop in his right ear shined beautifully.
Luna let Avian make his own break fest making sure not burn anything on the stove she'd done that enough!
"Avian hurry up and eat the bus will be here soon unless you want to drive you" he shuddered
"i'm hurrying mom gees" Avian wolfed down his cereal and raced to grab his backpack and phone. just when he heard the bus pulling up to the curve he ran for the door calling out to his mom that he was leaving.
"bye mom!"
"bye baby have good day!"
when Avian was on the bus he dug in his pocket for his ipod his stuck the ear buds in his ears and just jammed out to a random song. twenty minutes later and the bus pulled into the parking lot of Raven high. when he got up someone shoved him back into his seat Avian looked up in front of him stood Tommy Jones. Avian groaned in his he had been putting up with this since third grade!
"watch where your walking pretty boy"
"screw you Tommy leave Avian alone!"Jessica yelled.
"ahh Jess let it go i'm just teasing the whittle guy" he'd started talking in baby trying to humiliate Avian.
"you know what asshole why not fight some one you know will fight since your a man and all"Jessica smirked.
a chorus of oh's sounded on the bus. Tommy was fuming and couldn't do a thing about it! turning on his heal Tommy stalked off the bus. glaring at Jessica he gave her a sinister smile.
"this isn't over waters you can count on it"
Jessica rolled her eyes and saluted him with the bird.
"you ok Avian?",she asked coming back to him
"yeah i'm fine thanks Jessica again" she just smiled at him "no problem Avi i know you'd do it for me in a heart beat"
he smiled but inside how could he be so lucky as to have gained a friend like Jessica were she was brave he was not.were she was daring he wasn't but he was smarter than she was which seemed odd and though he wasn't as daring he still had an adventurous side.
after getting off the bus the two of them headed into the cafeteria and ate when the bell rung students scrambled the hallways like mice hurrying to get to class. once everyone was seated in their biology class Avian and Jessica were passing notes.
until the teacher walked in the class room silencing the class.
"thank you students for getting here on time but i'd like better if you could wait till your next class to start passing notes and starting conversations"
some muttered something about getting laid which caused a round of snickers to erupt. the teacher glared but refrained from saying anything.
"as i was saying today we have a new student joining us today he's from the united kingdom and just moved here so i expect you all to be kind to him"
the class gave Mr.Simons a respectful group nod before the door opened. in walked the hottest guy Avian had ever seen now granted he had only ever been with girls but lately he'd been wondering what being with a guy would be like.
when mr.hottie stopped in front of the class Mr.Simons asked him to introduce him self.
"the names Jasper i'm from the U.K. and moved here with my family i'm sixteen and i'm a mechanic"
Avian sucked in a breath he was only a year older than him after he'd finish his introduction Mr.Simons placed him next to Avian who silently thank him. once the lesson had officially began Jessica quickly slid a note over to Avian.
it read HE'S HOT!!!! in big bold letters. Avian rolled his eyes before crumpling the note and mouthing the word so? at her. she grinned at him then using her fingers she pointed her at him and Avian and made a heart. Avian shook his head signaling to her there was no way Jasper could be that way.
the next few hours were maddening sitting next to this amazingly sexy guy. Avian found his breath coming in ragged and his heart beat going insanely fast. when the bell wrung he couldn't get out of the room fast enough.
heading straight for the lunch room Avian hopped in line with Jessica right behind him.
"ok admit it",she said grinning like a fool
"admit what?"he asked trying to coll the heating in his face
"that you like Jasper and want to see whats under da hood!"
"shhhhush! and ok i like him but come Jess i just met the guy and..."
"you already want to get in his pants",she said
"when did you turn into such perv?"
"around the same time i met you Avi, and it's a good thing you admitted that you like him"
"cause i invited him to sit with us for lunch" she replied grabbing her tray and walking outside.
"you what?!",Avian screamed then followed her out the door under the willow tree were they always sat Jasper was already there with Jessica. taking a deep breath Avian sat down nextto the two of them and smiled. "uh hi" Avian said to Jasper trying to sound frinedly and not overly excited.
Jasper smiled and nodded and continued eating his luch not saying much else. but Jessica wouldn't let it be.
"so Jasper do you have a girlfriend?" Avian choked on his milk and Jasper swallowed his potateo.
"uh...um no why?" he asked staring at her
"I was only curious hun anyway me and Avian, are going to this fair tommrow night and i was wondering since your new here if you'd like to come?"
Jasper nodded. "great well just give Avian your number and he'll send it to me later cause my phone is dead",she said pouting at the screen.
Avian shot her a death glare but reluctantly gave Jasper his phone. and let him put the number in when lunch was over the three of them put they trays in the wash and walked off to thier next class.
