When Avian got home he threw his bag on the floor and fell face first in to his bed. he was exhausted and wanted nothing more than to lay down and take a long horse nap. just when he'd closed his eyes his phone went off. he scrambled to answer it hit the 'send' key he answered.
"hello?"
"hiya Avi!"Jessica shrieked into the phone Avian pulled his ear away and groaned.
"what is it crazy girl?"
"oh i'm crazy now cause i got you a date well there's gratitude for ya"
"you didn't get me a date you complicated me! and plus Jess i don't think i'm his type"
"why do you say that huh?"
Avian sighed deeply before replying. "no boobs Jess" he waited for her to say something like so? or it doesn't matter instead she just laughed! long and hard into the phone.
"oh my gawd! Avian is that really what this is about?" Avian felt his cheeks flush and knew his face was as red as a stop sign.
"we-well yeah",he said shaking,"Jess i don't think he likes me like that if at all"
"well we'll just see about that tomorrow night now won't we"
"not if i don't come",Avian said feeling victorious before Jessica burst his bubble.
"i'm not worried about you not showing Avi, i know you can't resist a fair and your parents make you take your little brother and sister every year so ha!"
Avian blew a puff of hot air and sighed she was right his mother and father insisted. every year that Melody and Arone be taken to the fair. ugh why me? he thought Avian always had to take them when he himself was only sixteen!
"true",he sighed, "ok if i show up will you please let this go?"
"Avian i'm telling you he's not straight hun a girl knows" Avian snorted yeah of course they do it had taken her a year and a half to figure out he was bi.

Friday night and the air was freezing where the hell were they?! Avian thought as he stomped around in a circle for the thousandth time. just when he was about go in by himself. Jessica appeared with an disgruntled looking Jasper.
"sorry were late had so stuff that had to be taken care of"
"was it that important you couldn't call or text me? i've been standing here for nearly two hours!"
"sorry that was my fault",Jasper said looking sheepish Avian quickly amended.
"no,no its fine just one of you please call me next time ok?"
"sure",Jasper nodded
"ok! now that we're no longer mad at each other on ward my brothers!",Jessica yelled a few people turned and looked at them like they were crazy. Avian grabbed Jessica by the arm pulling her through the entrance.
the lights and screams delighted Avian. truth be-told even though his parents made him go with Melody and Arone he secretly enjoyed going to the fair with them. Jessica pulled him from his thoughts when she sat beside him.
"having fun?" he nodded
"yep and i'm almost out of money to" Jessica laughed
"wow that's a first and what about Jasper?"
Avian stiffened "what do you mean?"
"oh come on Avian you can't sit here and pretend like you haven't noticed all the sideways glances he's been giving you" Avian blushed he'd been sneaking so many at Jasper that he hadn't noticed at all. though he did notice how Jasper's attitude had changed from one of shyness to a one of confidence.
Avian admitted he liked Jasper when he seemed confident he walked with a swagger that most guys wish they had. and that just made him even hotter to Avian. when Jasper returned with their cotton candy they all sat and ate thinking about which ride to go on next.
"how about the ferris wheel Jessica suggested looking up at the spinning wheel.
"that's for couples only" Avian replied glaring at her
"so? i don't remember their being a law saying you had to be a couple to ride it" Jasper laughed
"why not go Avian it might be fun" Avian looked up at Jasper with his blue eyes shinning. Jasper stared at him before he smiled and tried to cough to hide a laugh. it didn't work Avian turned away and pulled up his hood Jessica glared at Jasper
"what?" Jasper held his hands up as if to say he didn't mean anything by it and tried to get Avian to take his hood back down.
"i'm sorry Avian i wasn't making fun of you honest i didn't know you were scared of ferris wheels"
"what?" Jessica asked then smiled at her friend "it's ok Avian if your to scared you can just ride with me or Jasper"
"yea it wouldn't be to scary then would it"Jasper agreed Avian could barley get out a shaky yes before they had him up and walking toward the ferris wheel.
once they were in line Avian was grabbing and digging his nails into Jasper's arm Without Realizing it. Jasper looked down t the smaller boy practically mauling his arm but didn't voice his discomfort. after the fair man or whatever had taken their tickets Avian noticed that Jessica wasn't with them.
he turned and saw her smiling then get into the other seat behind them he glared at her she simply smiled back then mouthed go for it! the ride started and Avian dug his even deeper into Jasper's arm. Jasper hissed Avian realized what he'd been doing and let go immediately.
"sorry" Jasper shook his head
"its fine just ease up a bit yeah?" Avian nodded the ride continued on and for the first to rounds it was alright Avian even managed to come out of his hood then he heard a groaning noise and the ride came to a halt with Avian and Jasper around a hundred or so feet in the air.......
