We eventually found a secret hideout to sleep in and Ronnie took the first watch. I closed my eyes and relaxed my body. There on the floor I was uncomfortable but exhaustion quickly took hold of my body and I fell quickly to sleep. The next thing I knew Ronnie was shaking me awake.

"I'm awake. Go ahead, sleep. It's my turn to watch." Ronnie nodded sleepily and was asleep right away. I looked around, trying to find something interesting to entertain me. Sadly there was nothing around. Suddenly, I heard some rocks being knocked aside. As if someone had tripped over them. That's when I went into alert mode. Next I heard the faint sound of fingers brushing along the wall. Who ever it was  was holding onto the wall for support, probably to keep from falling. I slowly picked up a fairly big rock and pretended to inspect it.

I could hear the person creeping closer, trying their best to stay quiet while doing so. They failed miserably. A few seconds later I could see a faint outline of the person from the corner of my eye. I bowed my head so the person could not see me watching him. I couldtell it was a boy around my age and when he came even closer it noticed it was the same boy that was watching me from across the street earlier.

"What do you want" I demanded, raising the rock as I did so. I looked at him suspiciously, keeping the rock ready to be thrown.

" Whoa, care full with that." He said putting his hands in the air. "You could bash someone's skull with it."

" I said what do you want! By the way, I didn't do it you know. Why would I want to kill someone? Now go away and leave us alone. Forget you ever saw us." I lowered the rock and looked to see if I had woken Ronnie. He was still sleeping, which was good. We both need our sleep.

" I don't want anything really, just to stay with you for a while. I'm on the run to, just for a different reason. Anyway...." He looked around to, as if to make sure we were alone. " I know you didn't do it. You look like you could do it but I know differently. That's because I know who really did it." He leaned away looking smug.
