Chapter 2~ Bandmates, Tears, and The Truth

Luke's POV~

I didn't think that moving cross the world was a good idea. Leaving Australia was hard enough, and having to start a new school was even harder. But the way my day has started, I think this move could be a good thing. I met the most beautiful girl named Danielle. She showed me around the school and I have literally almost every class with her. Plus her locker is two down from mine. So she will see me every day whether she likes it or not.

"So you going to be okay until next period?" Danielle asked me. "Yeah I'll be fine." I say. She walked by me when she saw someone her friend I think. "Bye Dani." I yelled. She turned around and started walking backwards. "Bye Luke. See you next period." she said.

I headed to my Spanish classroom since I had Spanish second period. I got to the classroom and sat in the second to last row. There were three other guys in the row. The bell rang and the teacher closed the door as she walked in. She scanned the room when her eyes landed on me, "Class we have a new student. His name is Luke Hemmings and he's a junior here at Middleton High." After she introduced me, she started the lesson while the three other guys and I started talking. One of them had green hair, another had light brown, kinda curly hair, and the last one had really dark brown hair. "Hey Luke. My name's Ashton. This is Calum and Michael." he said as he pointed to the dark brown hair guy and then the green hair guy. "Nice to meet you." I say.

*~*~*~15 Minutes Later*~*~*~

Class is finally over and Ashton, Michael, Calum and I walked out of class together talking about music. They were telling me that they were thinking of starting a band, but they didn't have a lead vocalist. "I play guitar and sing a little." I say. "Okay. Well you have to audition first, so meet us at my place after school." Calum said while he handed me a piece of paper. It had his address on it. "Cool. I'll see you after school guys." I say as I walk away from them. Sweet, now I can see Danielle. I walked to math class and saw Danielle as soon as I walked in. She waved at me. I walked over to her and the girl that was waiting for her who was on the other side of her. I sat down next to her and her friend was just staring at me. I leaned in and whispered into Danielle's ear, "Why is your friend staring at me?". She looked over at her and said something to her and leaned back to me. "She thinks your'e really cute." she said. "So two people here at this school already like me." I say. "What two people?" she questioned. "Your friend. And you." I say flirty. She scoffed. "Ha ha. In your dreams Hemmings." she joked. I was about to say my comeback, when the bell rang. I whispered to her, "You better be lucky the bell rang." She turned her head, but I could still see that she was blushing. Nice job Luke. Two times in thirty minutes.

We had about five minutes left until the bell rang, so the teacher let us talk for the rest of the period. Her friend was still staring at me. Danielle must have noticed and snapped at her. "Ali! Stop staring at Luke!" she yelled. Her name is Ali. Or maybe that's her nickname. "Damn. Someone's protective of her guy." Ali said. Danielle's jaw dropped down. She then slapped Ali on the arm hard. I mean I could hear the slap. Danielle then looked over at me. I just grinned. All Danielle could do is blush. Again. "He's not my guy Alison." she growled. She then leaned back into her seat. I would make a smart comment, but I could see that she was heated, so I didn't want to fuel the fire. The bell finally rang and Dani walked out ahead of Alison and I. I walked faster to see if I could catch up to her, but I figured I couldn't. I decided that I would just meet her at her locker. I walked to my locker to grab a new notebook. As I closed my locker, I saw Dani in the corner of my eye. I turned to face her. Her eyes were red as if she had been crying. She hadn't looked up from her locker, so she probably hadn't seen me yet. "Dani. You okay? It looks like you've been crying." I say as I approached her. She looked at me and looked back at her locker as she wiped away a tear coming down her face. "I'm fine. We should hurry and get to class." she said as she closed her locker. I nodded. We ran up the flight of stairs and made it to class just in time.

*~*~*~One Whole Period Later*~*~*~

It was finally the end of third period and it was time for lunch. Dani was acting her normal self, but I can't help to wonder if what Alison said made Danielle start to cry. I wanted to ask, but I didn't want to upset her again. We got to the cafeteria and I've never seen a cafeteria. When it was lunch at my old school, I ditched to go home and eat. When lunch was almost over, I came back to school and no one knew I ditched. So actually seeing what a cafeteria looks like is pretty unusual for me. I stopped walking and Danielle noticed my sudden reaction. "Let me guess. You've never seen a cafeteria huh?" she joked. "Good guess. Your'e right." I say as I give her a kinda a crooked smile. She gave me a shocked expression. I explained why I haven't seen a cafeteria and she still seemed shocked. "What didn't think I was the type of person to ditch?" I questioned. "No. I didn't at all." she said. I gasped and put my hand on my chest. "I'm offended." I joke. She laughed. We got in line and got our food. We found an empty table and sat down. Alison found us and sat down with us. I saw the guys and called them over to sit with us. Danielle turned around to see who I called over. She had a smile on her face, but that changed once she saw who it was. "Why the hell did you call them over?" she snapped at me. "Cause-" I was cut off by Danielle saying something. "I can't sit with them. I have to go. I'll see you fouth period. See ya later Luke." she said and then got up. She went the opposite direction the guys were coming. Alison got up and ran after Danielle. "Who was that?" Ashton asked. A girl named Danielle." I say. "Danielle Brooks? Goes by the name Dani Danielle?" Calum asked. I nodded. "Nice you have her running." Ashton said as he raised his hand up for a high five. "No you have her running. Why?" I asked. They looked at each other, but then Michael and Calum's eyes landed on Ashton. I sat there waiting for an answer. "Cause I use to date Dani." Ashton admitted. I was stunned. Apparently my face looked the same way. "Why do you care?" Calum asked. "Because... Because-" Michael had cut me off. "Dude. Do you like Danielle?"

Hey guys. Hope your liking these two chapters. I work so hard on these chapters cause I want this story to be better than my other two stories. I hope you guys are enjoying the story. I have the next chapters already written out, and I would just update the story everyday, but I want to add suspense. Tell me... am I adding suspense to the story? Haha Yes I know I'm a weird person, but I live by my motto. Being weird is normal, being normal is weird. Kinda cool huh?
