natsu x reader 'shipped'(fairy tail)

(rewritten, I didn't like the old one so yeh. I mean, I don't like this one either but who cares lmao)

I was just casually talking to my friend, my child, my absolute favorite person, Levy McGarden about the novel Lucy was working on, and how it was really good, when Levy said something really random.

"Hey, do you by any chance have a crush on Natsu?" Levy asked, feigning innocence.

"Ooh? What's this I hear about (y/n) liking Natsu?" Mirajane, the guild's biggest shipper, said as she overheard Levy.

"I-I do not like Natsu in that way!" I deny, covering my blushing face with my hands, obviously flustered and caught off guard.

"Mm-hmm." Mirajane and Levy hummed sarcastically. 

"As if! Just fess up already, you looooovee him!" Levy said as she tickled me.

"What's this about (y/n) liking someone? I want to know!" The very person we were talking about said as he walked in.

"(Y/n) likes y-" I cut Levy off by covering her mouth before she could say something. Then, of course, Levy bit me.

"Ow! She bit me! Jeez woman!" I shrieked, letting go.

"Shelikesyou!" Levy said quickly before I could catch her again.

"H-hey! I never said that! Brobro..." I looked at her sadly.

"Heh, well of course (y/n) likes me! I'm her best friend after all!" He said, even though he was blushing and secretly happy to hear this.

"We all know that's not what she meant, numbskull!" Happy exclaimed. "Especially since all you talked about while we were gone was how much you looooovee (y/n)!"

"I-I did not! How dare you, Happy!"

~mini timeskip~

Me and Natsu were just hanging out in the guildhall the next day when I heard Natsu say something.

 "Hey, can we meet up sometime this afternoon by your house?" He said, seemingly nervous.

"Of course! Anytime bro!" I had a smile on my face.

~slightly longer timeskip~

I wasn't sure what Natsu wanted me for, but it must have been important if he had to ask instead of just breaking in, so I was gonna try to look nice. I put on a comfortable, yet cute top on and some black jeans to go with it, and brushed my hair quickly so it would lay flat.

I walked into my living room, hardly surprised to see Natsu already sitting on my couch, the only difference was Happy wasn't with him.

"H-hey, ready to go?" Natsu asked. Wait, did I just hear THE Natsu stutter. This must be hella important.

"Of course! Lead the way!" We walked out of my house and towards the small park where me and Natsu met, oddly, it was practically empty, so we were mostly alone here. Natsu sat down and patted the grass next to him, motioning me to sit down.

"Hey, I know you probably don't feel the same way, but I wanted to tell you that I like you. I mean love you kind of like." Natsu said, looking down.

"H-huh? I-I like you, too. I never thought you would feel the same way about me. I'm so happy!" I hugged him as I said that, and out of the bushes I saw Happy, Levy, and Mirajane come out of hiding.

"Yussss our ship has sailed!" They all screamed.

Just to spite them, Natsu leaned over and kissed me. I could feel my face heat up and change color, as I heard fangirl screaming in the background.
