We met (a zane~chan fanfic)

Prom part 2

Zane's P.O.V
You ever get that feeling, that feeling when even when you can't see it you just know that people are watching you, whispering about you. Well, that's how I feel.
I finished my light narration as we walked through the gym, or more as kawaii~chan walked through the gym, I just went to the food bar and ate some of the food they served. "SO" I jumped at the sudden voice and almost choked on my cupcake, I coughed violently and drank some soda to wash it down "For fuck's sake Garroth! Can't you just leave me alone" I snapped at him and then stopped short? "You went with Katlyn?" I asked Katlyn turned her head "Don't get the wrong idea Nerd!  I don't actually like him, it's just the result of an unfortunate turn of events" she muttered bitterly. I scoffed, not wanting to push it any farther in fear of getting a right hook to the face in front of everybody. "So what are you doing here baby brother? I thought these kinds of things weren't your style. Y'know, having to interact and be around us awful humans willingly isn't like you" Garroth started talking a bit, but I simply narrowed my eyes in response and took another bite of the cupcake. I walked off after that, not wanting to hear another word since he knew why I was here very well, he just wanted to be a dick and shove it in my face "stupid Garroth-Oh joy" I groaned, finishing my food and throwing the cupcake paper out as Lilith, Jay, and Scarlet approached me. "So, you and KC aye? I never would've seen that one coming" Scarlet teased first as Lilith threw an arm over my shoulder, making me tense up a bit. "You're gonna ask her to be your girlfriend right?" She suggested, beaming like the idiot that she was, just in time for Jay to put a hand on my shoulder, "I mean. If that's what YOU really want" she suggested, although her voice made it obvious that I didn't really have that much of a choice. I took a deep breath, "well, since I feel like if I don't tell you you'll beat my ass. Yes, I do plan on it" I sighed, preparing my ears as they all gave out loud cheers. 

They probably look so stupid to somebody just passing by I thought, which was enough to put a smile on my face as they finished freaking out. "Ready, one two three!" Lilith started before they all spoke in unison "Zane~Chan has sailed!". I rolled my eyes, "hey. Where's Rosie? Shouldn't she be freaking out with you losers?" I questioned, seeming to now notice that there was only three of them when there was usually four. "Oh, she's with Daniel. Speaking of which, we should go check on Rainel" Jay explained, nudging the other two who nodded, leaving me and disappearing into the crowd. A soft sigh excited me as I went into the crowd as well, looking for Kawaii~chan "hm. Well usually she'd be easy to spot, but now that there are so many girls wearing pink and the lights are out. This may serve to be a problem" I grumbled under my breath, my eyes perking up as the song changed into a slow one.

Perfect! That way all the couples will be pairing up to dance and everyone who was lonely will go off to the sidelines to cry or take pictures with their friends I thought happily as the crowd began to split and separate as I thought, making it much easier to spot her. "Wait, it's a slow-" I cut myself off as we made eye-contact, her ears perking up as she slowly walked toward me. I swallowed a lump in my throat and shakily extended my hand to her, my eyes narrowed as I saw her tail frizz a bit but she thankfully put her hand onto mine. Being a ro'meave I was already well versed when it came to this sort of thing, unfortunately, but my mom wanted all of us to be well rounded or something like that. I had to keep a breath from hitching in my throat as she got a bit closer and we gently swayed "Kawaii~chan never knew Zane~kun could dance. She always took him for the kind of guy to have two left feet" She giggled, speaking softly as she visibly struggled a bit. The joke couldn't help but make me smile a bit as I listened to her "well, I appreciate the compliment. You're, well, you're not so bad yourself" I replied softly, feeling my heartbeat quicken a bit as I prepared myself. I listened carefully as the music faded out and went back to some song I didn't really care about, we parted and kind of shuffled nervously. 

Okay, it's now or never. But maybe I should wait until near the end of the prom so it's not awkward if she turns me down. No, I need to tell her now or I may not ever get the courage to do it again. my mind raced as I gave myself internal pep talks, trying to hype myself up so I wouldn't back down last second and try to play it off as something else or knowing my dumbass, a joke. Besides, Jay, Scarlet, and Lilith are probably nearby waiting for me to man up and say something "Uh, Kawaii~chan. Can I ask you something?" I spoke out, breaking the small silence as she looked up at me with her amber eyes. "Yeah Zane~kun? What is it?" she answered me, her tail curling a bit as she cocked her head to the side ever so slightly. "Well, ever since I met you at that gym club thing, I've always kind of had-" I started, seeing her eyes widen a bit but I was cut off by a loud howl that sliced through the whole gym. All the werewolves shut up instantly but it took the rest of us a while to quiet down and move out of the way, "hey, isn't that-oh, Oh no. Zane~kun look!" Kawaii~chan tugged at my arm, so I looked over to the source of the sound. My blue eyes widened a bit "Is that, Balto?" I breathed out as my heartbeat started to quicken once more,

WWWWWWOOOOOOOOO It's been a very long time. I promise I haven't given up on this book and it will have an ending in the next chapter book and I'll do my best to tie up any loose ends so expect the final chapter to be a lot longer than this one was. Until the Final chapter! Laterz.
