Chapter 5 : The government

I drove all of us back to my place.

We see people in suits taking stuff out in boxes.

I quickly got out and someone already grabbed me.

"Let her go!" Erik shouts.

"Sorry sir but until further notice I have to keep her detained. She does have a record."

They all walk over to some agent and try to work things out. I guess nothing works because they were all getting into their cars and leaving, and taking our stuff with them. The man let me go and got in his car and left as well.

"Years worth of research...down the drain." Jane says

I sigh in frustration and get back in the truck. Im going with Thor. I need to take my mind off of this before I completely blow.

"Where are you going?" Erik ask

"With her boytoy." Darcy says

"Amor if you go with him you could get in trouble. Not with the police but with the government." Jane says to me.

"Guys, Im just going to get something to eat." I lie to them. As I walk out Darcy calls me.

"Can you pick up some more pop tarts. You're all out." She says.

I grab the keys and start to drive around town. This is a small town so it shouldn't talk that long to find him.

About 5 minutes later I see Thor walking out of a pet store in frustration.

I pull up and roll down my window.

"Still need that ride?" I say smiling at him. He gets in and we start talking.

We were having a good laugh until I realized that once I am done with this. Thor can go home with his family. I go home to nothing because all of our stuff and equipment is gone.

"What is it?" Thor asks

"What?"

"I know when something is wrong with you. Tell me." He says looking at me the whole time.

"Uh, well all of our research and equipment is gone. The government saw it as a threat and took it all."

"You are very cleaver. The most cleaver person on this realm and our realm." He says looking at me smiling.

"Realm? What is that?" I say laughing at him.

"You think I'm strange?" He says laughing.

"Just a little." I say laughing back at him

"Good strange or bad strange?"

"Im not sure yet." I say looking over at him and see that he is already staring at me.

We were staring for so long that I almost swerved off of the road.

"Sorry....But who are you, Really?" I say paying attention to the road.

"You will see soon."

"You promised me answers. And I don't like broken promises." I say getting serious

"What you seek, Is a bridge."

"A bridge, Like Golden Gate?"

"More like a rainbow."

"Oh, I love rainbows." I say smiling.

"Yeah. I know." He mumbles to himself.

About 30 minutes later we arrived at this unknown place that the government has blocked off. Its dark and raining.

"Ugh, its blocked off. How are you going to get in?" I say as he pulls off his jacket.

"You will need this." He says as he hands me his jacket.

"This would have been a little useful 15 minutes ago but thanks anyway."

Thunder then rumbles out of nowhere. Thor smiles and looks up at the sky.

"Stay here. Once I have Mjolnir, I will return what they stole from you and your friends." I look at him as if he was crazy and I start to get up with him. He then grabs my arm and sits me back down.

"Deal?" He says to me still holding my arm.

"NO. Look whats down there! You can just walk in and get your stuff!" I yell at him and the thundering get louder.

"No. Im going to fly out.." He then runs off inside of the building.

10 minutes past. There are people everywhere. I even see a guy on a crane with a bow and arrow.

Man, theses people do NOT play.

My thoughts were cut off with a loud yell. Its Thor. It didn't work. People with guns started to surround the area so that he is blocked in.

Its over.

I waited no more than 5 minutes until the spotlight was on me and dogs started coming my way. I quickly make a run for it and head home.
