Jaemin has always hated mornings, especially mondays. But of course, the world must have Mondays because it just enjoys torturing people in the small ways.
So no big surprise that he knocks his glasses off the nightstand and steps on them, resulting in a bloody foot and a blind Jaemin hoping towards the bathroom while muttering a thousand different combinations of curse words under his breath.
"Jae, baby, you're going to be late if you don't hurry up." His mom calls from downstairs, and the cheerful tone of her voice only seems to make Jaemin's mood worse as he pulls glass shards out of his foot.
"Hey little br-what happened this time?" Dokyun asks, bending down on his knees to see the wound.
"Knocked my glasses off the nightstand, stepped on them, it's nothing." Jaemin says, biting his lip.
DoKyun just shakes his head before grabbing a pair of tweezers out of the drawer, helping his brother retrieve each little piece. "Don't forget to clean it out and put antibiotics on it, or else it'll get infected." DoKyun says, grabbing something off the counter before returning to his room.
Jaemin just sighs, looking for the bandages and gauze that he's are in there somewhere, but he can't seem to find them. "Mom, where are all the bandages and gauze?" He asks, shouting a little so she can hear him.
"Check the bottom right drawer, under the hair gel." Sure enough, there they are, still in the packages hidden underneath all of DoKyun's assortment of hair gels.
He wraps his foot up, brushing his teeth and hair before hobbling back into his room to get dressed. This is definitely not the ideal way to start his first day back at school.
He finishes getting dressed and heads downstairs where his mom is preparing breakfast. "Do you still have my spare glasses?" He asks, leaning against the counter, trying not to step on his injured foot.
"They're in my desk drawer, I put them here last night." She says, turning to look at her ever growing son. "Aw, you look so handsome!" She coos, thinking just how adorable he looks in his fluffy pink sweater and white jeans.
"Thanks, mom." He says, hobbling over to the desk to retrieve his glasses. He rummaged through the drawer until he found the case, opening it to reveal circle glasses that were currently in style. "Hell, yessssss." He whispers to himself, sliding the glasses on before checking how he looks in the mirror.
"Breakfast!" His mom calls, and as soon as that one word leaves her mouth, DoKyun is at the table, smiling widely at the food in front of him.
"Thank you for breakfast, mum." DoKyun says as he pours syrup on his pancakes.
"You're welcome, now eat up." She says, motioning Jaemin over to grab something before the bus comes.
He's thankful for his mom and brother, but he does wish they knew more about who he was on the inside.
