十: 1 + 1 = Lonely

Jisung sighed deeply as he stared up at his ceiling. Jimin had yet to come back from last night's party, and he'd been forced to ask Mei-Lin and her sister for a ride. Mei-Lin's sister didn't seem to mind,  it he had learned that Mei-Lin was just as equally savage as Hyunjin from their shared dance class.

On any normal Saturday he would be out at the park, or at the mall, anywhere but home. But he had a killer headache, and he didn't know where the correct pills were at (Jimin hadn't answered any of his texts to tell him) and so he resigned himself to his bed to get some rest.

And to make matters that much worse, his neighbors were having some sort of hangout today, and he'd been forced to listen to their endless game of apples to apples. It had been an interesting two hours to say the least, as they insisted on playing until all personality cards were given out.

Finally the front door opened, and Jisung launched himself put of his bed only to find one of Jimin's friends in their living room, shrugging off a large trench coat.

"Oh. Hi, Yoongi." Jisung said dejectedly, his shoulders slumping as Yoongi raised an eyebrow at him. They had never bothered with honorifics, but seeing Jisung so down was a little worrisome.

"You alright, buddy?" Yoongi asks, tilting his head to the side before entering the kitchen.

"Yeah, I just thought you were Jimin is all." Jisung says, dragging himself over to sit in one of the barstools, watching as Yoongi digs through the fridge until he finds eggs and bacon.

"Did he not come home last night?" Yoongi asks, setting everything on the counter as Jisung just shakes his head, frown evident on his face.

"No. I had to get a ride home last night, and I have a headache, but I don't know where he keeps the medicine."

Yoongi nods, reaching up into one of the cabinets before pulling out a small bottle of pills, he pops it open and hands Jisung one with a smile.

"Should I be proud of you for drinking, or disappointed?" He asks with a chuckle, continuing on with breakfast as Jisung shrugs.

"I don't know. Proud if you want me to end up like Jimin, and disappointed if you want me to lead a happy life. I guess?" Jisung was a little conflicted in the whole matter himself.

Jimin had never been the best role model, staying out late and always at a party. He'd had at least ten girlfriends within the last year and a half, and Jisung couldn't wrap his head around that fact. And then there was the issue of his choice of friends. Yoongi was the calm one of the group, hardly ever got into trouble despite his intimidating appearance.

Jungkook, a less than admiral womanizer (who was actually quite gay) Taehyung, the aloof little lost puppy of a boy who didn't quite know how to function in social situations. And Namjoon. Dear, God, Namjoon. The boy was a wreck, and Jisung did not use the term lightly when he referred to Namjoon. He was a mess.

Jisung snapped out his thoughts when a plate of breakfast was placed in front of him, the bacon laid across the eggs in the shape of a smiley face.

"Cheer up, Jisung. Please." Yoongi was giving him the same look he often gave Jimin when they were in little disputes and Jimin was being a pain in the ass. Which, happened way more than it should have, but what's new?

"Thanks, Yoongi." Jisung says with a small smile, eating happily as Yoongi makes small conversation with him, his headache slowly fading away as Yoongi tells a story about his boyfriend. Yoongi never told anyone who his boyfriend was, just simply smiled and told stories, and when asked for a name, he always just said Sweets.

Jisung wished that Yoongi was his brother, or even Jaemin's brother. Jaemin had mentioned more than once, that his brother was actually quite nice, was often home, and loved Jaemin to the point of it being a little suffocating at times. He wished he had a brother like that.

But, he didnt. Instead, he had Jimin. Jimin, the boy who had everything, and at the same time, nothing. He was a walking contradiction that Jisung couldn't wrap his mind around.

He thankedYoongi for breakfast, and immediately after he put his plate down, Yoongi offered to take him to the mall to spend some time away from home. He said that Jisung needed more time in social environments, and less time on tumblr being an anti social meme addict.

Jisung couldn't deny that last part, and returned to his room to get dressed, though he was reluctant to do so.

So there they went, straight off to the mall where Yoongi took him shopping for new ps4 games, took him mini golfing, and even got him some greasy pizza from the food court where Jimin always refused to eat.

"When was the last time you got your hair dyed?" Yoongi commented as they finished up their pizza, Jisung subconsciously reaching up toe touch the faded gray locks of hair.

"Um, I did it a couple of weeks ago, but I just used semi-permanent coloring, since Jimin wasn't home to help me." Jisung says, watching as Yoongi nods.

"Come on, we're going to the salon. We're both in desperate need of a touch up." Yoongi says, grinning as he pulls Jisung to the nearest salon.

"Hi, welcome to Lovett Hair salon, how may I help you?" The girl behind the counter asks, her smile bright as Yoongi smiles.

"We'd like to get our hair dyed, if there's any openings?"

"We actually had two cancelations today, so we'd be happy to squeeze you in." She smiles again, and Jisung takes the time to look her over. She's a foreigner, if not just half asian.

They continue to talk as Jisung looks over the hair color charts, flipping through the little booklet as Yoongi and the girl continue to talk about the fees and so on. He decides he'd like to go back to blonde, not bleach blonde, but just a nice honey shade, maybe a little more of a red tint even.

It's not until their already in the chairs, hair dye half way applied, that Jisung remembers to ask Yoongi what color he's dying his hair.

"Oh, I'm going light blue. Sweets said he missed my colored hair, and I didn't feel like going back to a mint quite yet." Is all Yoongi says as Jisung relaxes in his seat.

Hopefully dying his hair won't be a mistake, especially with the school doing their annual dance competition soon.

He was lucky enough to nab a spot on the team that would perform, and if he was really lucky, he might get a solo.

He really hoped he did, because then maybe his brother would finally acknowledge him.

But that was unlikely.
