7 Years Later
"Hey Peter what's up?" Ashlyn said after picking up the phone.
"How'd you know it was me?" asked Peter.
"Well one, there's this thing called Caller ID and two, I have custom ringtones for all of my contacts." replied Ashlyn.
"Haha very funny. So, uh, what's my ringtone?" asked Peter nervously.
"Oh it's Umbrella by Rhianna cause of that time I came over to your apartment and I caught you lip syncing and dancing to it in your room." replied Ashlyn.
"Aww I thought we said we would never speak of that again." whined Peter.
"Oh I will never let you forget about that, especially since I have it on video." said Ashlyn.
"Ashlyn Elizabeth Marie Thunderman you better be joking." replied Peter getting more nervous.
"Nope, in fact I'll send it to you right now."
"No I'm good and remind me to delete that off your phone. Anyways I was calling because I was wondering if you could get any work I'm going to miss from school for the next two days." said Peter.
"Why aren't you going to be at school?" asked Ashlyn.
"Well you remember that Stark Internship I got a week ago?"
"Yeah....." replied Ashlyn.
"Well Mr. Stark wants me to go to Berlin to help him with something." replied Peter.
"Okay sure I'll text you what you missed."
"Thanks Ashlyn you're the best." said Peter.
"Alright bye Pete."
"Bye."
Ashlyn hung up the phone and threw it on her bed. What did Tony Stark, who along with the rest of the avengers, were like uncles and aunts to her and her siblings, have to do in Berlin that involved her best friend, who she also had had feelings for for the past 5 years?
"Hey Ash it's time for training." the sound of her brother Connor breaking her train of thought.
"Coming." the red headed girl replied.
After changing into her training clothes, she headed downstairs to meet up with the rest of her siblings and mother. After telling the rest of her children to start with their warmups, Natasha pulled Ashlyn to the side.
"Ashlyn, I have a mission for you. There has been some unrest and dispute between Steve and Tony and Steve and Sam have gone awol and both Steve and Tony are assembling teams. Tony wanted you to join his team along with me."
"I-I guess I'll do it." replied Ashlyn.
"Alright we're leaving tonight. Go ahead and start your warmups and after training go pack." Natasha says then walks away. After training, Ashlyn headed back to her room to start packing.
"Knock knock"
"Hey Lucas what's up?"
"I just wanted to say goodbye. I'm gonna miss you sis."
"Lucas I'm only going to be gone two, three days tops."
"I know, I know, but still my twin on the other side of the world possibly in danger, it's a lot to think about."
"Lucas you know uncle Tony, and especially mom would do anything to make sure I'm okay."
"Just be careful. Please. For me. And if you can't do it for me, can you at least do it for Peter? I'd hate to explain to him his best friend got hurt, or even killed."
"Lucas, I will be fine, and was it really necessary to bring my best friend and CRUSH into this?"
"If it keeps you safe and from making stupid decisions, then yes."
"Whatever, I need to pack." Lucas gives Ashlyn a hug before leaving.
You got this Ashlyn, she thought. Standing along with the rest of team Iron Man on the runway, Ashlyn wondered what was this dispute between the two Avengers. Suddenly, Tony calls out "underoos" leaving Ashlyn in total confusion. Her questions were answered when the popular Spider-Man she heard so much about these past few months swings in and steals Captain America's shield. Ashlyn knew instantly this was gonna be good.
Ashlyn was in the process of going after Falcon and Bucky, when all of a sudden Spider-Man swung in and attacked Bucky and Falcon.
"I had that Webhead!" Ashlyn responded getting annoyed at the masked hero standing before her.
"I was trying to help!" responded Spider-Man.
"You're stupid comments and jokes aren't helping at all so just stop." the girl responded through gritted teeth.
"Okay geez somebody needs to take a chill pill, or maybe two." replied the Webhead.
"If you haven't noticed Spider-Man, we're kinda in battle. So if you would kindly help me get these two that would be greatly appreciated." the aggravated girl replied.
"Okay." Spider-Man says as he shoots webs at Falcon and Bucky, trapping them.
"Thanks Webhead. At least you were useful for something." replied Ashlyn as she turns to walk away.
"Wait! What's your name? You know mine so it's only fair I know yours."
"Call me Wonder." replied the girl looking over her shoulder then proceeding to walk away.
After failing to catch Captain America and Bucky, the superheroes head back to the plane to take them home.
"Good job today you two. You two seem to work well together. That's why I've decided to put you two as partners in crime fighting back in New York." a very pleased Tony Stark said.
"What!?" both teens yell.
"Yup so you two better get used to each other." Tony smiles and walks away.
"I'm so not looking forward to this." mumbled Ashlyn.
