Corky POV

I went to take my shower and after I laid back on the bed. I had to call my mother and little sister. I haven't talked to them much lately they really didn't want me to move out here but eventually I'll have them move down here from Philly. Everywhere I moved to they want to come. My little sister Anna graduate in 2 more months so that would be when I would have them come down. I just need to find them a good place.  I want to expand the pool house but I don't know how long that would take and my mother like things ready when she get ready to come. I tapped her contact and she immediately answered.

"Cornelius, why haven't you been calling your mother?" she yelled

"I'm sorry mama I been caught up trying to get myself together and getting my place fixed up" I said.

"When am I going to get some grandchildren, you are knocking on 30 and I'm getting old. You haven't found a nice little lady good enough to bear your children yet".

"Mommy chill I'm working on getting to know a woman so hold off on all the children talk love. I'm checking on you and Anna seeing when you want to come down here and look for your new home and have you put your house on the market yet. Nothing under the half we paid for it. In Atlanta, we can get you something way bigger and cheaper".

"I'm working on it baby I have been online looking and it's a couple places I want to look at when we do come down there. I called your auntie she is going to list the house for me. I've been working late shifts at the clinic and I'm about ready to retire. I been really thinking about it since your sister going to start college soon. She told me you sent her some money too. Stop sending her so much she doesn't know the value of a dollar yet she just spends everything" she said.

"Mama she a smart girl. She's getting all A's and why not let her spend her money the way she wants. I'll talk to you later about the stuff going on here and about finding you a place I have to do a couple things and tell Anna call me in the morning. I love you sweet thang" I said.

"I love you too boy".

I seen that I had been on the phone with my mother for forever and I needed to get myself together. I trimmed myself up in the mirror and after that got dressed. I stepped out and waited for Jordan to come out.

When she stepped out she had on something fitted and short with some knee-high boots and her hair was down with curls.

"You look beautiful" I said

"Well thank you sir. Where are we going that I'm dressed like this? She asked

"Dinner on the roof, dessert and I'll have you back to your room buy ten".

"Sounds real gentleman like" she said.

I grabbed her hand to get on the elevator. I put the key in that took us to the rooftop. It was candles lit and just a single table with flowers. I led her to the table and pulled out her chair

"Thank you" she said.

I sat down and they immediately came and poured our wine.

"I really like this it is nice of you to do this for me" she said.

"I just wanted to take care of you for a little. You been getting me together ever since I got here to Atlanta"

"It's just my natural self to help others" she said

"Who's helping you though?" I asked her.

"What is that supposed to mean?" she asked

"I'm just speaking on what I see and what I've been told. Miss lady who's helping you and making sure you're alright?
