Crow - Memories

I am at a park, with my parents. My father, a kind, tall man, with black hair and dark eyes, plays a game of tag with me. My mother, with light brown hair, blue eyes and a cheerful smile, looks after my younger brother, Noah, as my father and I play. We laugh, and I run, trying not to get caught.

I inherited looks from both of my parents - raven black hair, as dark as night, and sky blue eyes, like the summer sky. I also inherited their personalities - my father's playful, happy attitude, and my mother's calm, gentle joy.

I hear a bang, or something of the kind, and I stop, suddenly terrified. Attacks happen somewhat often in Aurelua, because of the superheroes, and supervillains, that our city has. I rush towards my father, and my mother. My brother is silent, without a cry.

My father tells me to run, all playful attitude lost. I'm scared, but I do as he says, fleeing from the site. Just as I escape the park, I hear and explosion - and the park is gone.

Everything is gone.

Everyone is dead.

I'm all alone.

I think that my worst memory is of the day my parents died - the day I lost everything that mattered to me. I was six at the time - I had no real idea what was going on - but I've learnt a lot since then.The villain that attacked the park that day was a man who went by the name Rattlesnake. He was notorious in the city, and no one had ever taken him down. He had attacked, but no one knew the reason why. No evidence was left at the scene after the explosion.

I've changed a lot since then - after all, it was seven years ago. I've been adopted, by a lady called Ivy Tenebris, and she's really nice. I've made a really close friend - his name is Nicholas, and he's been my friend since I was seven, and he was eight. Now he's 14, and I'm 13. I don't think anyone knows me better than Nick, not even Ivy. We know basically everything about each other.

But I have a secret, that no one, not even Nick, knows.

I may be Nova Newton, but I also have another name - Crow, the vigilante that helps protect Aurelua City. Along with Ivy, who's superhero name is Obsidian, and the Justice Crew, we take down villains and protect the city, without anyone knowing our real identity.

I really want to tell Nick about my secret identity, but the Justice Crew says I can't share my secret with anyone.
