Chapter Three:

At lunch time; Bee, Alex and I head towards our table that's situated at the back left of the cafeteria. All throughout our lessons, I came to realize that Alex is in almost every class Bee and I have. How come I've never noticed him before?

I shrug it off and sat beside Bee, who's chatting away to Alex about an assignment that's due tomorrow. Opening up my lunch, I began to eat until there's an eerily silence that wafted through the cafeteria. Looking up, I roll my eyes. Tyler walks in wearing a smirk on his face, winking a couple of times at a couple of girls who blushes and giggles with their friends.

Tyler looks around the cafeteria, spotting Carter who is seated beside Jay. I notice him clenching his fists before he looks up and spots me. Smirking, he makes his way over and sat on the empty seat beside me.

"Hey loser," he greets, nodding at everyone else at my table who's jaws has dropped in disbelief.

I roll my eyes and narrow my eyes at him curiously, "What do you want, Tyler? Why don't you go sit with Carter? After all, he is your best friend. Not mine." I huff.

He just shrugs, "I'm not going to sit with that idiot if he decides to associate with that dick." From the tone of his voice, I already knew who he is talking about from the reaction this morning and just before.

Sighing, I finish up the rest of my lunch before sliding my chair back to throw my rubbish into the bin. It falls in effortlessly as always. I turn my head to see Carter walking towards us with an annoyed expression, "Hey guys."

I snicker, "What's up your butt?"

He glares at me before rolling his eyes, "Nothing is up my butt. Anyways--Tyler, why didn't you come sit with me? I thought you didn't like Matt."

I fake a hurt look, "Gee, thanks!" I roll my eyes. "Well maybe if you weren't sitting with Jay, then he would have sat with you--dumb ass. Thought you took the hint in the morning when Tyler yelled at you about him. Obviously not," I sigh in fake disappointment, earning myself amused looks while Carter just glares at me once again. "What? It's not my fault that he's sitting here beside me. I mean, I don't blame him. Jay is a fucking dickhead who runs around the school, thinking he owns it."

Tyler tries covering up his laugh with a cough, "Yeah, what she said. I thought you would have taken a hint this morning when I told you I didn't like that waste of human being. I would much rather sit here with your sister, then to be next to him thank you very much. Why do you even talk to him anyways? You know how much of an asshole he is and how he ruined your life. I don't see why you're being buddy-buddy with him." He glares at Carter, insulting Jay in his speech many times in a row.

He sighs in frustration, "You don't get it, Tyler. Yeah, he ruined our lives--but I'm hanging around him for a reason that you wouldn't understand."

"Yeah? Try me. Tell me your reason as to why you are hanging out with the enemy." He urges him on.

Carter just scowls, "You don't need to know my reasons, just leave it." He stands up before storming away.

"Jerk," I mutter before standing up, just as the bell rang. "I'll see you after school, Bee."

She just nods, knowing that we're in different classes before I walk towards room 13 A. Walking in, I notice Carter and Jay sitting at the back of the room in a heated discussion. Being a curious sister, I swiftly sit at the table in front of them to hear their conversation but I immediately regretted it as I grip my pencil in anger.
