Chapter 4

I looked at my phone.

3:30am

I couldn't sleep. All I could think about was what Ethan told me. I really feel bad for him. How he had to go through all this. Then I closed my eyes and slept.

8:45am

I felt someone moving next to me and I woke up. I found Aurora smiling looking at me.
"Good Morning Beauty" I said getting out of bed.
I picked up Aurora and went downstairs to take breakfast. I saw a note on the fridge from Ethan.
'I have a business meeting I may come back home a little late today'
"Dad isn't going to be home today, so let's go shopping" I said taking the milk out of the fridge.Aurora giggled and nodded.

I made strawberry porridge for Aurora and then we went upstairs to change Aurora's clothes.
"Before we go shopping we have to drive to my house cause I need to get changed too." I said while helping her getting dressed. I brushed her hair into two pigtails and two bows on her pigtails. Then I helped her brush her teeth.

I still had her car seat in my car, I buckled her and went to the driver seat. I switched on the car and started driving.
"Rosie" Aurora said
"What?"
"Can you change the song?"
"Sure, what do you want to listen?"
She paused and started thinking.
"Baby Shark" she clapped
I rolled my eyes. I hate that song.
"Fine" I pull over and searched for the song then I attached my phone to my car and I hit play.
"Baby shark dododododo, baby shark dododododo..." Aurora started singing. I looked at her from the driver's mirror and watched her dancing with the song.

We arrived to my place and I got changed and brushed my teeth. I took extra money and took extra clothes cause I remembered that I had a date tonight with Grayson so I put extra makeup in my handbag. I straightened my hair. Made a little perfume and put on my nike air max shoes.
"Let's go" I said picking up Aurora, I took my phone from her hands and went for my car. I buckled Aurora and my phone started ringing in my pocket. It was Emma.
"Hey Emma"
"Hey, where you at?"
"My place, why?"
"Do you wanna hang out?"
"Yeah but Aurora is with me"
"Who's Aurora? "
"The girl I'm babysitting"
"Oh, yeah no problem, come pick me up at my place"
"Fine "
I ended the call and got in my car.

I started driving and my phone started ringing again so I pull over, it was Emma.
"What?"
"Where are we going?
"I don't know we'll figure out later, I'm driving right now" and I ended the call.
I started driving again and the phone started ringing again.
"OH MY GOD, I SAID I'M DRIVING STOP CALLING ME DUMBASS"
"Yo chill" It was Ethan
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry Ethan, I thought you were someone else"
He started laughing.
"Watch your profanity next time there are kids with you" he said.
I smiled.
"Where are you going?" He asked
"I'm taking Aurora shopping"
"Don't spend alot of your money on her."
"Oh it doesn't matter"
"Can I talk to her?"
"Sure" I handed the phone to Aurora
"Who is it?" Aurora asked
"Daddy"
"Hello daddy." Then after minutes talking to her father she handed me my phone.
"Hey Ethan"
"Hey I have to go now break time ended. I'll talk to you later when I'll have time alright?"
"Yeah no problem." Then he ended the call.

I continued driving for the 3rd time. We arrived to Emma's house. I honked the horn and she got in the car.
"Where is she? Where is she?" Emma said with excitement. She looked at the back of the car. Aurora waved at her.
"OH MY GOD, YOU ARE THE WORLD'S CUTEST THING" Emma said putting her hands on her face.
"Who are you?" Aurora asked.
"Emma....Emma Chamberlain,How old are you?"
"Three."
"OMG SHE'S SO CUTE"
I started driving and drove to the shopping mall.

I was trying on a pair of shoes when my phone started ringing.
"Can you check who's calling?" I said looking at emma.
"Grayson is calling, who's Grayson?" I took my phone from her hands and answered the phone.
"Hey Gray"
"Hey, what's up?"
"Nothing much, I took Aurora shopping"
"Cool, hey everthing is ok for tonight?"
"Yes,absolutely, I can't wait"
"Me too, you'll see tonight"
"What do you mean?"
"Nothing, I'll see you tonight "
"Oh..ok"
"I have to go I'll see you tonight"
"Bye"

"Who is Grayson?" Emma asked.
"A boy " I said
"Oh really, I didn't see it was a boy, come on who is he?"
"My uncle, he's my dad's twin brother " Aurora said.
"Why is your boss's twin brother calling you?"
"I have a date with him tonight" I said.
"Wow, your 2nd day at work and you already have a date" she laughed.
"It doesn't mean I'm gonna marry him tomorrow"
"Where are you going?"
"I don't know,he didn't tell me" I said.

4:40pm

I drove Emma to her place and went to Ethan's house. Aurora slept in my car so I picked her up and took her in her room. I placed a kiss on her forehead and went downstairs. I took the shopping bags in the guest bedroom and Aurora's in the washroom. Then I went to take a shower and got ready.

7:00pm

Ethan still wasn't home. I didn't know what to do about Aurora. Maybe I should take her with me or I'll cancel the date. Then my phone rang. It was Ethan.
"Hey Rosie"
"Hey Ethan are you ok?"
"Yeah, listen I may come home around midnight, we have alot to do at work. Can you stay with Aurora for the night? Or you got plans tonight?"
"Actually I did, but if you want I'll cancel the plans for tonight, it can be another day"
"No, don't cancel them. I'll call Grayson so he'll look after Aurora instead" Ethan said
"But Grayson have plans too"
"What do you mean?"
"Me and Grayson we were gonna hang out tonight "
"What?"
"Yeah"
There was total silence
"Ethan are you still there?"
"Yeah yeah, I'm still here, then who is gonna look after Aurora?"
"If you want I'll take her with us" I offered
"Wait I'm gonna call mum maybe she will keep her for tonight, I'll call you later." Ethan said then he hung up.

Grayson's pov:

I was getting ready for the date with Rosie and I heard the phone ringing. I went to my room and I saw that Ethan was calling me.
"What's up bro?" I said
"Don't what's up me asshole" he yelled
"Yo, what's wrong with you? I haven't talked to you and you're yelling at me?"
"You're such a little bitch"
"What the fuck did I do?"
"You have to cancel the plans you have with Rosie tonight"
"What? No way, I'm not gonna cancel my plans with Rosie."
"You heard me, cancel the fucking plans-"
"Or else what? I'm not your little fucking puppet."
"YOU ARE SUCH A FUCKING BITCH GRAYSON. WHAT THE FUCK? FINE I'LL CANCEL THE FUCKING PLANS FOR YOU INSTEAD."
"OK FIRST OF ALL STOP FUCKING YELL AT ME, LIKE YOU ARE MY FATHER, NOT EVEN MY OWN FATHER YELLS AT ME AND SECOND OF ALL IF I'M GOING TO CANCEL MY DATE WITH ROSIE IT'S GOING TO BE ME."
"Then cancel the plans. If you're not gonna cancel YOUR FUCKING DATE I have another plan." then he hung up.
"ETHAN,ETHAN? ETHAN?"
I threw my phone on my bed. What am I gonna tell Rosie? She won't talk to me again.

Rosie's Pov:

After 5 minutes, my phone rang but it was a call from Grayson.
"Hey"
"Hey Rosie, listen I have to cancel the date tonight, I forgot I had other plans tonight. It can happen another day, if it's still a yes"
What the hell? He told me the last minute?
"Rosie?"
"Yeah it can be another day" and I hung up.
What a jerk
I dialed Ethan's number.
