Babysitter /Ethan Dolan

Chapter 3

"Wait,Do I know you? " Grayson asked.
"I was thinking the same thing" I said surprised.
"Hold on a second,You two know each other?" Ethan said shooked.
"Weren't we in bio class together?" Grayson asked.
"Oh my god, yes, Mr.Paul's class"
"Nice to meet you again Rosie, you look more beautiful than you looked at school, I'm not saying you looked ugly but you really look preety".
I blushed. "Well,thank you "
"Come on Aurora let's go give you a shower because princesses smell good and right now you don't " Ethan said.
"Let me do it Ethan, after all I'm the babysitter" I said picking up Aurora.
"Are you sure?"
"100 percent sure"
"Alright then I'm gonna go make dinner, tonight you're gonna eat with us" he said smiling.
"I'll help you" Grayson said.
"What? No. You make disgusting food Gray,there is no way you're cooking, I'm not going to hospital because of food poisoning" Ethan said pointing his index finger at him. Grayson rolled his eyes.
"Why are you like this? Such a drama queen, I always cook for myself and never got poisoned"
"Whatever, I'm cooking"
I couldn't stop laughing. I was crying with laughter.

I went upstairs and went to Aurora's room to get her clothes when I heard a knock on the door.
"Come in" I yelled. Grayson opened the door.
"Hi" I smiled.
"Hey, umm, I was wondering if you wanna go out sometimes" he said playing with his fingers.
"Are you asking me out? As a date?" My heart was racing faster than ever.
"Yeah,I guess so" he said sitting on Aurora's bed.
"I'll pick you up tomorrow at 8pm from here after work" he smiled.
We gave eachother our phone numbers.
"Its a date then " I said putting my phone in my pocket. Grayson smiled and went downstairs where Ethan was.

"Come on little princess, it's time for a princess wash" I said picking up Aurora. I walked in the bathroom and turned on the warm water. While I was washing Aurora and having fun playing with water she sighed.
"What's wrong?" I looked at her with puppy eyes "is the water cold?"
"No" she said
"Then what is it?"
"Do you know where my mum is?All my friends at school mention their mum and I don't have one ". I froze at what she said, I didn't know how to answer. I remembered Ethan's words telling me to never mention her mother.
"Daddy always tells me she is in a better place,but I don't know where is this  better place". I was shaking, her mum is dead and I didn't know what to do.
"Do you know what is this better place? Maybe you can find it" she said playing with my hair.
"Oh my Aurora look at the time, it's getting really late and we have to eat dinner " I said putting her on the bathroom carpet. I don't know if I should tell Ethan or not. I dried Aurora from water and helped her put on her Cinderella' sleep wear. I picked her up and went downstairs in the dining room where Grayson and Ethan were.

"There's my baby girl" Ethan said while opening his arms for a hug. I put Aurora down and she ran to her father for a hug.
I looked at Grayson and went to sit next to him.
"You good? You look kinda pale? Is something wrong?" He said
"No, I'm fine,It's just hot" I lied. He nodded. Ethan put Aurora on her high chair and went to the kitchen to get the food.

After we ate we went to watch some TV. Aurora wanted to sit on me and she slept on me. I went upstairs and put her to sleep, I covered her with the pink bedsheets , kissed her forehead and went downstairs. Grayson wasn't there which means he left so it means me and Ethan were left in the room.
"Hey Rosie" he said picking up the dishes to wash them. I was shaking, I don't know why I was that scared.
"Hey let me help you" I said taking the dishes from his hands.
"No, I hired a babysitter not a maid " he said taking back the dishes from my hands again.
"Doesn't matter, let me help you" I demanded.
"Fine" he said rolling his eyes " I wash the dishes and you dry them , alright?". I nodded. " You're gonna sleep here tonight, you can sleep in the guest room, it's 1 am there is no way I'm letting you go this time " He said while washing the dishes.
"It's ok , there's-"
"What did I tell you this morning? After all I owe you something for helping me doing the dishes"
"Fine then, I'll sleep in the guest room for tonight" I said taking the wet dish from his hands.

"Hey Ethan, can I tell you something? "
"Sure, what's up?"
"Actually nevermind"
"No you have to say it now" he said drying his hands.
"Well..." I took a deep breath "While I was washing Aurora, she umm..she asked me about her-her m-mother". He froze and his jaw clenched.
"What did she say?"
"She asked me where her mum is and all her friends have one and she don't, she said that you always tell her that her mother is in a better place"
He put his hand on his face and started rubbing his eyes.
"And what did you tell her?" He asked
"Nothing,I didn't know what to tell her"
He grabbed a chair from the breakfast table and he sat on it while rubbing his face. He looked at me and pointed at the chair meaning to sit down.

"I never talked about this with anyone, not even my own twin brother" he said relaxing his hand on the breakfast table.
"5 years ago, I met this beautiful and kind hearted girl which I fell in love with within a second, I did everything for her to go out with me, I even risked my life just for her,until she accepted. Rosie  changed my life forever, she was the girl of my dreams, she was the girl I can always count on, I loved her more than I loved myself. We were always together every second." A tear fell from his eye and he wiped it away.
"After two years dating each other, we decided to get married at 20 and build a family together and grow old together and we did.We we're everyone's dream couple goals. She got pregnant after 5 months of marriage, I was the happiest man alive, everything was going as we planned. She gave birth and named our little baby girl Aurora because Rosie loved that name. A year after Aurora's birth, Rosie told me she was pregnant again. I cried with joy, knowing I was going to be a father again. We were expecting two boys,twins . I couldn't be more happier, Aurora was going to have someone to play with. 16th August, she was 6 months pregnant, which means Aurora was a year and a half,I was at home with Aurora, when I recieved a call from the police" He started crying and sobbing. "They told me that she had a c-car cra-crash. I-I couldn't believe what I was listening,they told me she was in hospital and there was no chance she was gonna make it alive. I went to the hospital were they told me that they couldn't save the babies too. The doctors didn't even let me say goodbye to her and how much I loved her, they left me waiting outside and after an hour  of waiting the doctors came up to me telling me she didn't make it. They let me go see her for the last time. I couldn't even recognise her, her body was all covered in blood her baby bumb was wide open that you can see through bruises all over her body her lips weren't there anymore. I couldn't accept this, this wasn't part of our plan. I lost three people that I love the most. I couldn't accept it, I even tried killing myself by cutting my veins with razors. My life was dull and dark. Then I realised that I can't die, I had Aurora, I can't leave my daughter, she was the person that really meant to me and I decided to change because of her, I didn't want to see my daughter living hell. I did everything for her,but I decided to never love anyone else." Ethan couldn't stop crying. I felt tears on my eyes too. This was something that no one wants to go through. That's why Ethan likes my name because his wife's name was Rosie. I grabbed his arm." I'm so sorry Ethan. I'm sorry you had to go through this."
"It's ok Rosie, thank you for listening to me." He embraced me with a hug and I hugged him back.
"You should go get some rest Ethan" I said patting his back.
"Goodnight Rosie"
"Goodnight Ethan"
