I heard hushed voices, and soft girlish giggles. I very slowly peaked opened my left eye to see my entire family in my bedroom. I quickly closed my eye, and tried my best not to smile.
All of a sudden I felt a body jump on top of me, and more giggles were heard. I grumbled lightly and opened my eyes fully this time to see my youngest sister, Dorris, laying on top of me.
"Happy Birfday!" her young, toothless, voice sang.
I smiled wide at her. "Thank you, darling," I spoke softly back. My eyes wandered across the room to see everyone in my family smiling brightly at me. Another one of my sisters, Lottie, was holding a thing of blue balloons. And my lovely grandmother, Nana, held a bed tray with my breakfast on it.
Ever since I was little, it's been a tradition to wake surprise the birthday girl/boy. We would always go way out with balloons, cake, and a party.
"Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to Louis! Happy birthday to you!" The roomful of people sang. At the end a small confetti bomb went off, causing me to laugh.
I finally sat up, pulling Dorris into my lap. She grabbed my hand and began playing with my fingers absentmindedly, while Nana set my breakfast at the end of my bed.
"Happy birthday, love. You're so grown up!" Nana spoke.
"Thank you. And stop, don't remind me," I joked, causing her to laugh. She bent down and gave me a gentle hug, patting my back at the same time.
"I wanna give Louis a hug too!" The eldest twins joked together. And before I knew it I had Nana, Phoebe, Daisy, and Dorris all clinging onto me with so much love. And for a split second, I forgot about my secret.

It was now seven at night and my house was crowded with people. Music was blaring out through Bluetooth speakers, and lots of people were dancing. Some people clung to the snack table, while others were playing Mario Kart on the Wii.
I sat on the back porch swing, however, lost in my thoughts. I was watching all my family and friends have a good time together in celebration of me. But I wasn't even in the midst of the whole thing.
"There you are. I've been looking everywhere for you!" A familiar voice said, causing me to stop my thoughts.
I looked over and smiled at my girlfriend, Isabella, or Bella.
"Here I am," I replied half heartedly.
"Why are you out here all alone?" She asked.
Bella and I have been dating since April of this year. She is my first girlfriend. My first real attempt into making my secret disappear.
I was introduced to her by my best mate Liam. She was friends with his at the time girlfriend, and they thought it would be nice to double date.
Bella told me straight out after that night that she liked me and she wanted to do this again. I told her I felt the same way.
I know it's wrong, being with someone you don't truly want to be with, but it's what I have to do. I love Bella, just not in a romantic type of way.
