Prokaryotes are microorganisms that lack or don't possess some of the important structures of a cell. Ex: Bacteria and Archaea.

Eukaryotes are microorganisms that possess the important structure of a cell. Ex: Plants, Animals, Fungi, Protozoa, and Algae.

Prokaryotes
-Their genetic material is not enclosed within a membrane.
-Their DNA is not associated with histones.
-They lack membrane-bound organelles.
-Their cell walls are complex.
-They usually divide by binary fission.

Eukaryotes
-Their genetic material is enclosed within a membrane.
-Their DNA is associated with the histones.
-They possess membrane-bound organelles.
-Their cell walls are simpler.
-They usually divide by mitosis or meiosis.
