The Sun was annoyingly hot,
The people were excited about hanabi taikai.
Some, for preparing the show,
Others, for watching.
Many were getting dates,
The kids would just tag along with their families
Or have a real adventure with their friends,
Students started enjoying their vacations
To pools, to mountains, to the sea.
The smell of the watermelons,
The dripping of the popsicles,
The singing of the cicadas.
It was summer indeed.
