A week later, we decided to have a memorial for the baby. It was a small ceremony held at the house, attended by the whole team and a few family members. Rafaella and I were the only ones who gave speeches and the entire time, Rafaella and Thiago avoided each other, not even making one second of eye contact.
By the end of the afternoon, everyone went into the backyard and stood by the white oak tree, where we decided to place a stone in honor of the baby.
On it simply stood,
"Baby Silva. Gone too soon"
Later that night, I was in Neymar's arms on my bed.
"I've never seen him like this before" I said while Neymar was twirling my hair around his finger.
"Raf's been pretty quiet too"
"They need each other, they think they can handle this on their own but they can't" I whispered.
"I wouldn't worry about it. They will end up together soon" Neymar assured me.
"Well soon isn't soon enough. They're made for each other" I moaned.
"Just like you and I" Neymar said changing the subject.
"Just like you and I" I smiled.
"I love you, Tatia. I hope you realise that"
"I love you Neymar" I said and I fell asleep in his arms, hoping he would never let me go.
