I got off the plane looking out to see my grandparents standing right there I turn back to see if Lucas is coming. He walked right to me and stopped
"It's good to be home" he says and I nodded. We walked over to see grandparents and they pulled us into a tight hug. My grandma releases me
"Oh sweetie I missed you so much how are you holding up" she says I shrugged not know what to say. The truth is I haven't cried ever since New Years I finally realize that I don't need all that attention on me. I had to be strong. We grabbed are bags and walked out of the airport
Once we got to the house I went straight into my room. Nothing has changed since I left it felt good to be home. I put on some riding clothes

I walked out of my room seeing Lucas and dad sitting there with my grandparents
"I'm going out riding" I say to them Lucas got up and started waking with me
"I'm coming with" he said
"You don't have to" I say to him but he insisted and I shrugged and we walked to the stable. We figured out which horse Lucas can ride where I found my horse Rebel I missed her so much she walked over to me and was so excited. We got everything on and we rode are normal trail. We stopped off at the top of the hill and we sat down while the horses got water.
"How are you holding up" he ask and I just stare out into the open not answering
"Liv you gotta talk about it and not bottle up your feelings" he says and I cracked I felt a tear go down my face
"Mom was my best friend Lucas she was there when I needed her every time I called she always picked up she got me through my first dance breakup, boyfriend and she was going to go through more with her but I can't be with her anymore it hurts" I sobbed out Lucas grabs me and pulls me into his chest and I just cry until I felt my eyes get heavy and I closed them
Flashback I walked into the kitchen upset about to cry and my mom saw me
"Sweetie what happens" she asked
"Thomas and I broke up he said I had a temper and to angry" I say
"Sweetie I'm sorry" she pulled me into a hug " in your life there are going to be so many more boys come and go but do you know who stays with you forever, your family cause they accept you for who you are and never judge you for what you do" she says rocking me back and fourth
"Mom are you going to be with me until I'm ready" I ask. Her face went blank for a minute and then smiled
"Always" she says
I woke up to see Lucas sleeping it dark outside so I couldn't see anything around us I sit up and Lucas starts to wake up
"How long have you been asleep" I ask
"I fell asleep a couple mins after you fell asleep, how are you feeling" he ask
"Better" I answer truthfully We lay back down just to look at the stars
"So do you like farkle" he ask
"Why is everyone keep asking me that it's like if he..." then I realized farkle likes me oh my god Farkle likes me. I stood up
"Oh my god farkle likes me and I didn't even notice how can I be such a bad friend to do that I don't know what to do" I ramble
"Hey relax we will figure that out tomorrow but for right now can we just look at the stars" Lucas say
"Okay fine" I say laying down. That night we just looked at the stars and talked about high school even it's so far away but I'm excited we fall asleep on top of the hill.
