"The big showcase is today, babe!" Hoseok rushed into the pair's bedroom, immediately flopping on the bed. Jimin was in the middle of reading when Hoseok interrupted his whole reader's flow.
He didn't mind, of course. Hoseok was simply his sunshine, nothing less. He'll drop mostly anything when it comes to him.
"I know! Are you excited? Oh my god! The most amazing dancers in the area are gonna compete alongside us. I'm so nervous, but like so ready." Jimin rambled without taking a damn breath.
"Chim, calm down. Breathe." Hoseok pulled Jimin into a tight embrace, kissing his worried little head. "You're gonna kill it out there."
"Ah, but like you're so much better, Hobi! Your stage presence is like breathtaking."
"Awh, Jiminie! Stop it, dork. You're just as amazing! Stop underestimating yourself!"
"I know I have skills and all, but you're just so good! I love watching you dance."
"As do I! Jimin, you can move in a way even I can't pull off. Which is that contemporary style you add in your choreo and how you can literally spin twenty times without a single flaw."
"But sometimes I mess that up.."
"We all mess up, Jimin! We aren't perfect."
"You seem really perfect to me. Like I love you so much." Jimin kisses Hoseok on the lips softly letting the room go silent with how long Jimin kept himself attached to Hoseok's soft lips.
Hoseok suddenly pulled away and then shared a good chuckle. "You're adorable and I love you, but I know what you're doing."
"I'm not doing anything babe!"
"Save it! You're trying to get me all soft before the showcase!"
"Pfft, whaaat? You're crazy!" Jimin tried to cover up his obvious plan to distract Hoseok before the competition. "Yeah, okay.. you caught me. I just really wanna win this year!"
"I'm not going easy on you, Park Jimin." Hoseok squinted his eyes at the younger boy.
"Well? I'm not going easy on you either, Jung Hoseok." Jimin gladly returned the same glare.
"We're leaving in ten minutes. Better start practicing." Hoseok jumped out of the bed and skipped out of the room.
Their relationship was purely built off of the rush of competition and rivalry, but also the shared passion for dancing. It was a weird balance, but it seemed to work.
When they were about to leave, tensions were still high, but of course, the couple had one last thing to do, a last minute action they always carried out before leaving for any competition.
"Good luck kiss?" Jimin said in his adorable tone.
"Good luck kiss."
They shared a quick, yet loving kiss before rushing out the door, heading straight to the showcase.
Where only one may advance to the finals..
