Leena slowly trailed behind Zaya as she rambled on about the Do's and Don'ts of St. Agatha's. As much as Zaya was beginning to grow on her she couldn't really concentrate on what her small pink haired friend was saying. She still spooked from her nightmare. It had felt so real. What was even more alarming was the familiarity of it all. The terror she felt as those voices whispered in her ears felt more like a memory than anything else.
As quickly as that thought entered her head Leena rejected it immediately. Of course it wasn't real, just a silly fantasy she created in order to deal with the uncertainty of a new place. Leena inwardly cringed, she was beginning to sound like Mrs. Debbie her old group home counselor. She could still hear her voice rattling on in her old Southern drawl "Remember Leena nothing is ever as bad as it seems".
Which was very easy to say if you weren't a Sixteen year old Orphan. There was a point in Leena's life where she figured this was it. She had her life pre-determined by someone else choice. Age out at 18, get a crummy job and keep going until her time was up.
But that all changed when she got accepted into St. Agatha's. Now she had a future where the possibilities were endless. She could actually be somebody and prove to everyone who ever dared think of her as just some foster kid, that she did matter.
Shaking herself from her thoughts Leena focused her attention back on her bubbly friend ".....and don't get me stated on Professor Reeves a total bore, Who by the way spits so I would avoid the front row if don't want an extra shower in the morning"
Shifting her backpack Leena smiled suppressing a giggle"Okay note to self avoid front row, anything else I need to aware of ?" Zaya scrunched her nose up, something Leena discovered she did when she was deep in thought. "Nope. Not at the moment anyways, I'm sure something will come to me later" Nodding her head Zaya linked their arms as they made their way across the threshold of what Leena could only assume was her first class.
Short I know. But i'll update again
