The Assignment

My nightmares came true

Hi, I'm Emma Frost, which is ironic because people normally refer to me as the ice princess. Why? You may ask... well... I normally don't talk to people and I don't socialize very well because of that I isolate my self. There forming the nickname ice princess. Back to the story. Hi, I'm Emma Frost the nerd of the school who gets straight A's and always has a book in her hands.  I have just a month till graduation. After graduation, I can go to college and get away from the awful people of this school.

My day was going pretty good because I haven't run into Mason yet but that joy will come to an end because of its time for my English class my only class(thank the heavens) with Mason woods. The school's bad boy and my worst enemy mostly because he has been teasing me and bullying me since the second grade. Today is the day that Mr. Fritz is announcing our big assignment that he has been talking about almost all year.

Mr. Fritz walked in the room and a hush fell over the class. "Hello, class. As you probably know by now this assignment is very important t is worth half your grade meaning if you don't complete this assignment you will be failing my class." Mr. Fritz announced. "So for the assignment you will be doing it with partners" when he said this all the kids clapped and cheered for me, on the other hand, I was dreading it I hated working with partners so much that if I had to do a partner assignment I would do the assignment and just let my partner take credit for it. 

"Ok ok, quiet down." He hollered over the excited students "I have already chosen the partners" almost as soon as he said that all the students groaned in unison. "Ok the pairs are Julia and max" no fair two nerds in the same group I thought to myself "Kate and Lucas, Ashlee and Nate-"  he was cut off by the sound of the door opening, and in walked mason "Nice of you to bless the class with your presence mason, now take a seat." Mr. Fritz said. Mason parents pretty much own the school that's why the teachers can't get mad at him. When I looked up from my desk I realized Mason was staring straight at me. He started walking towards me and I now realize that the only available seat is right next to me. How could this day get possibly worse "now that that interruption is taken care of back to the partners, the last group is Mason and Emma." Welp that answers my question. Mason leaned over and whispered in my ear "guess that means we're partners... ice princess" Mason said as a smirk played on his lips. "So for the assignment, I'll be giving you the rest of the school year to write a 5-page essay about your partner. That means you are writing about their hobbies, past times, emotions, and just them in general. You will have some time in class but mostly you guys will have to get together after school and spend some time getting to know one another. That means no procrastination. This assignment has been given to the seniors for almost 15 years it has sparked friendships, created enemy's and even made people fall in love with one another. At the end of the month, one group will be chosen to read their essays Infront of the entire senior class at the graduation ceremony. Most importantly we want these essays to show who the person is on the inside whether you like your partner or not we want these essays to be true and thoughtful."
Not only do I have to be partners with Mason I have to spend time outside of school getting to know him. I hate having to spend one class with him. My goodness, this is going to be my worst nightmare.
