Chapter 6

"...All you do is just use girls and throw them away like they're a crumpled piece of paper! Mason, that's not right! You don't do that to people you, jerk!"
Emma screamed at me.

That's the first time she's ever yelled at me... It's been 10 years since I first met her...and the entire time I've been an jerk to her, but she was never mad at me.
I've known her since the second grade when I moved here from Chicago. I had no friends and was the outcast at my old school. When I moved here she was my first friend. She was just like me at my old school, but I didn't want to be like that anymore. I didn't want to be like HER anymore, so I started being around the older, more popular and social kids and I left Emma but the only thing that got me to where I am now was being a jerk to her.

"crap" I mumbled out loud as I remembered what I've done to her.
I sprinted after her, but she left the hallway, so I have no idea where she went.

Why would he do that to me he's never done something like this before. I hate how he thinks that I'm just a tool that can be used and thrown away. Tears were streaming down my face, and I just want to go home and go to bed I don't want to be here anymore. I got up and grabbed my bag. I dried off my tears and I started walking to the parking lot in front of the school.

"I have had enough of school for the day." I said out loud to no one in particular.

When I was walking to my bike I felt like someone was watching me that weird feeling of someones breath on your neck and their eyes burning a hole in the back of your head. I turned and saw Becca and her tramps standing behind her. My gosh could the day get any worse.

"Emma was it," Becca said in a sickening tone.

"No, I thought she went ice princess now"
one of her 'friends' said

"uhh hello," I said back really confused why they would come up to me I barely know them.

"So, I saw you and Mason earlier what's the deal with that," Becca said in a way that I'm pretty sure was a hint of jealousy.

"Nothing happened. What do you want Becca"

"I just wanted to tell you that Mason is mine and you need to stay away from him" she started this in a matter of fact tone with a slight smile on her face.

"One I thought you guys broke up and two I don't even want him he's a piece of trash"

*Smack* she just slapped me "what the he-
"Do not. I repeat do not talk to me like that princess or your going to have a lot more where that came from." she yelled at me as her and her friends walked off giggling.
As I looked at them walk away I saw mason staring at me from the door of the school. He started walking up to me so I quickly ran to my bike but it got stuck on the rack and the lock wouldn't come undone. I finally got it off and pulled my bike out of the rack but he already had his hand on the handles.

"Emma" he said as he looked at me

"Im not going to say anything. I have nothing to say to you.now if you don't mind I'm leaving. Have a good day."

He didn't let go so I tried peeling his fingers off but he had a good grip. He wasn't letting go anytime soon.

"Please let me leave" I stated gripping onto my bike until my knuckles turned white.

He wasn't saying anything and I just wanted to punch him so I was trying not to do that.

"No Emma I have to tell you this and I'm not going to let you leave till I do" he went on, "im sorry I really am I didn't think It was going to be that big of a deal I-"

"Exactly you didn't think. Your an idiot who doesn't care about other people than yourself. Sorry has no effect on me unless you show it." I used that moment of shock to rip my bike out of his hand and get on it as I was leaving the parking lot I heard him call after me.

"Emma please-"

"just stop mason! Leave me the hell alone!" I yelled back at him. And I was gone.

When I got home I wrote a note to my mom for when she gets home from work saying that I felt sick and came home early. I went up to my to my room and I couldn't handle it any more I burst into tears. I took off my clothes and got into a oversized sweatshirt and went to bed I could stand being awake anymore if all I could think about was Mason.
