Introductions & Recollections

"I'm still very confused." Dan spoke standing up and looking at his arm. That tattoo, what did It mean? It wouldn't hurt to ask would it? "By the way, since you all are 'Ego experts' can you explain to me what this is?" He gestured to his arm and Mat looked at the markings and inspected them.

"Oh, that is a bonding mark! A sign which shows that the ego is now spiritually always present. Basically meaning they can possess you if you let them." Mat explained before carrying on "You can purposefully let them, or accidentally let them by being at a low point mentally or other scenarios. But you'll learn as you go along." Phil looked at the man and just shuddered, he did not like the sound of this, and by the looks of things, neither did Dan.

"Well, we can't change what has happened. So what next?" Dan said, his personality changing to try and handle this situation. Mark looked at them all and decided it was at least fair to try to explain the situation.

"You see, my ego, Dark decided that he wants to gather all the egos together. He never explained why ,but I believe he had a good enough reason to. So here we are, at Thomas' house who also has egos. But less harmful ones, more friendly egos." Mark looked towards the kitchen door. "Thomas, you can show your egos and come out now, it's all good." He yelled and four men who looked like quadruplets of Thomas walked out.

The first one was adorning a Disney Prince outfit, he looked overly confident but yet brave. The second one was wearing a black polo shirt and a blue tie, he looked the most mature out of them all. The complete opposite of that one was the third person too walk out who was adorning the full Dad themed clothing, he was ushering the fourth person who had huge dark bags under his eyes and hid under his hoodie. 

"Well golly! Isn't it nice to see you boys again! Matthew, Ethan, and of course Mark." Patton said before looking at the two other men. "Welcome boys, I'm Patton and It's a pleasure to meet you." He said to them shaking both their hands. "Then there is Logan," he motioned to the man with the tie, "Romano," he motioned to the man wearing the Disney Prince lookalike who seemed to murmur 'It's Roman, Rom-an.' Patton then gestured to the last boy "And Virgil!" He leaned in and whispered "He's a little shy, forgive him."

Phil's mood went from confused and devastated to excited and joyful in an matter of seconds, "Woah! Thomas, I thought these were just you in costumes! But now I know they're real, this is amazing." He then looked at Patton. "Guess they were keeping you guys on PATTON pending." Phil joked, Patton then instantly gasped and did a semi self cheer. 

"Somebody finally made the joke!" Patton cheered hugging Phil, the male smiled. Dan then decided to walk over to Virgil, he waved to which Virgil just waved back slowly.

"My name is Dan, you're Virgil right?" He asked to which the boy nodded. "I like your hoodie, black is the only color which can truly emote my soul." Virgil looked up and spoke.

"Agreed, it's just a void of nothing." He said, he then looked at Dan and agreed to the man as he started a monologue about the color black.

Thomas walked over and whispered something to Mark. Mark flinched at whatever he said and started to walk outside. Ethan and Mat looked at each other confused, until Mark returned with a suit and a whole new aura around him. If you squinted it almost looked like a 3D lens which surrounded him.

"What's with the outfit changed?" Dan asked until Mark walked up to him, he titled his head before offering his hand to presumably shake. Which Dan did, "What's this all about?" He asked again. 

"I guess since you are finally an ego I should introduce myself and my cause, if everyone could sit down and I'll discuss my plans for you all." Mark sat down putting a leg over his other leg. Everyone took a seat and he began talking.

"My name is Darkiplier, better known as Mark's alter ego. I have brought you all here to today as I need help, us egos may be a risk to mankind but I can assure you what's occurring now is a bigger risk." He paused then carried on. "An issue which could effect all of mankind." Phil looked concerned and engaged now. "An old friend of mine has started to manufacture egos, making people have egos which were man-made, which are more chaotic or uncontrollable. They are highly powerful and can cause a lot of damage, but the even bigger risk is they are trying to hunt down people with egos to figure out how to make their egos more stronger. Which Is why I had to make you aware of this situation so you don't get captured." He then looked around and saw Mat's concerned face as he looked at his ring, he also looked at Dan who was fidgeting with his hands, he then continued. "So this is why I have got you here, I will protect you but In return you must help me, I need you to break into this science lab and to stop this project from going any further before it gets out of hand." Dark said. "I'm sorry but if you decline, you will get captured, but the choice is yours." He motioned.

The five men looked at eachother, before they all said together. "We'll do it." Dark smiled in response, it was all going according to plan.

"Perfect, but to prove by evidence you agree I need you to sign these contracts." Dark clicked his fingers and several contracts appeared with their egos names. 

"Are these blood contracts?" Dan asked, the contract answered it for him as once he grabbed the pen next to it to sign it, another signature appeared next to his signature in red ink. Most likely his ego's.He then felt a weird tug in his mind, but assumed it was due to dehydration, and calmed down.

Once all the men had signed the contracts, Dark took them all and burnt them. Something in Phil felt excited to see the flicker of a flame, but he dismissed it due to nerves. Dark then started talking again.

"This contract means I have more control over you and your ego, meaning I can keep them in line, but I can also bring them out to play." Dark said before the men looked at each other.

"You wouldn't bring our egos out unwillingly, I've had mine under check for years." Mat said looking scared, "I'm not being that insane monster ever again." Ethan nodded in agreement. 

"Oh, but you don't get a choice in the matter, you've signed away your right." Dark said as Mark tried to take back control, only to be dismissed by Dark. "Now, I won't do that to any of you, unless I see fit or you annoy me enough to the point I can't handle it." He said pointing to Phil "You are way to nice, you're already getting on my nerves so maybe keep your mouth shut for the rest of the time and maybe Blazing won't have to come burn anything." Dark said, Phil gulped. He then pointed at Thomas "Same goes to you, unless you want Deceit." 

"You wouldn't dare." Thomas glared at him before Dark looked at him. "Oh but I would." He said smiling. "You know what, what about I just prove a point to you all that I can do that." Dark looked at them before pointing at Dan. "You annoyed me at the beginning anyways so It's only fair that I get to enjoy the more dull side of you." He said as Dan walked backwards.

"I'm not listening to you! Stay away from me!" Dan said as Dark looked at him and sighed before smiling a fake smile towards to boy.

"But, why would I do that Daniel? I'm your leader after all." Dark said, and as if those words set him off. Dan watched in shock as his clothing turned black and his skin turned grey, all life being dulled to him, he felt as if someone else controlled his body and something in his head said 'Thank you Dan, now please just wait.' He was utterly confused.

"Such a failure my human is, do forgive him." Daniel said as Dark ushered it off. "Of course not, he just has to learn." Dark reassured him. Phil looked at Daniel in pure horror, what happened to his best friend? Who was this man who took his place? What was going on!

"What have you done to my friend!?" Phil asked looking at Daniel.

"Oh Phillip can't you see?" Daniel leaned in brushing loose hairs out of Phil's face.

"I made him better."
