"Blaise..." Brelyna approaches me the next morning. Before I could find Tolfdir, he left a note for us saying classes would be postponed.
"Yes?" I ask, trying not to come off as suspicious. She has a weird tone right now.
"If you have a moment, could you help me with something?"
"Well what do you need help with?" I relax.
"We're all trying to become better mages, right? Well, I need someone I can practice a few spells on," she must have seen the freaked out look on my face because she immediately insists that it's "Nothing dangerous, really. Would you be willing to assist me?"
I look at the hopeful expression on her face and sigh inwardly. "Well...you really can't just practice on yourself?"
She shakes her head."No, not that kind of spell. Believe me when I say I wouldn't be asking if it weren't necessary,"
"Okay...fine," I agree.
Her face lights up in delight. "Oh, good! I was afraid I'd have to go ask J'zargo. Now, you just stand there..." she begins to cast the spell. "Please hold still, and don't move,"
She casts the spell over me and I immediately know that something hasn't quite gone according to plan. "Brelyna..."
"Oh dear. That wasn't supposed to happen. Do you...do you feel all right? You look very, umm, green," she asks worriedly.
"My vision is green. Everything. Is. Green,"
"I am so very sorry!" Brelyna exclaims. "I went over this again and again, and I was sure it would have better results,"
"Is this going to be permanent?" I ask her ruefully. I refuse to walk around with green vision and looking green.
"It's not! It shouldn't be. You'll be back to normal in no time. And when you are, we can try this again and I'll be sure to get it right," she insists.
"What on Nirn went wrong?" I groan as we walk to the Hall of Elements.
"I'm not really sure. I think it's just a minor miscalculation on my part. I'm sure it will wear off soon. When it does, you'll be perfectly fine, and then we can try again. In the meantime, I'll see about figuring out what went wrong," she shrugs.

It wasn't as bad as I thought walking around looking and seeing green. I got ridiculed a bit by Onmund and J'Zaargo but it was nothing malicious. Tolfdir hadn't shown up at all today, so I focused on practicing destruction with Onmund as a sparring partner and I still felt weirded out by the nerves in my stomach when I'm around him.
Towards the end of the day, the effect of the spell begins to wear off so I go find Brelyna.
"I am no longer green!" I announce happily.
"Exactly as I said it would," she grins. "Now, are you ready to try again? I am confident it will work this time,"
"This is your last chance," I warn her.
"Good, good. It'll be worth it, I assure you," Brelyna smiles. "Okay, now don't move at all," she readies her spell.
Something, once again, has gone horribly wrong. I try to ask Brelyna what's gone wrong but instead of speaking I...I moo.
"Moo?"
"Oh my!" she gasps in horror. "That isn't right! Just wait. Just...I can fix this!"
"Moo,"
She casts the spell and something is still wrong. I don't moo, but instead I neigh...like a horse.
"Oh no, that's not it at all. Let me try again,"
"Woof," I snarl at her. A dog!?
"This really isn't turning out the way I'd hoped," Brelyna blushes. "I'll get it right this time, I swear,"
She casts one last spell and I feel normal again. "That-"
"All better!" she cuts me off. "Well, it all worked out in the end, didn't it?"
"Brelyna," I look at her seriously. "We...we don't talk about this ever again,"
"Definitely," she agreed. "Thank you for the help. You're a good friend,"
"It was...a pleasure to help," I try to find the words.
"Oh, no it hasn't," she shakes her head. "Let's be honest. I have a long way to go before I'm ready for the kind of advanced magic I've been attempting. But at least I know where to start now. Thank you, you've been a great help to me,"
