Nighthawk slipped out of his den. He smelt fresh mouse in the pile, with Dullfurs scent. Hazelspot padded up to him with a rabbit in her jaw.

"Hello, Nighthawk." She mewed. Hazelspot dropped the rabbit and sat next to Nighthawk.

"Hey." He replied, licking his front paw.

"You hungry?" Hazelspot asked nudging the rabbit.

Nighthawk laughed. "No! I'm eating what I catch today." Hazelspot nodded.

"Can I hunt with you? I never hunted with you before, this will be exciting!" Hazelspot bounced like a kit.

"Why not?" Nighthawk sighed.

Hazelspot followed Nighthawk out of camp. "When we get there, I need a drink." Nighthawk meowed. Hazelspot waved her bushy tail as they walked to the meadows.

Nighthawk halted in front of the river. "You go hunt, I'll be there." He ordered.

"Okay!" Hazelspot agreed and ran away. Nighthawk started into the water, his reflection swayed from the waves. A cat appeared beside him, "Windtear, your here." He whispered to the medicine cat. Windtear nodded. "You are in trouble, Nighthawk." Her words sounded wise and ancient. "Trouble? We haven't had any trouble since ShadowClan stole our prey!" Nighthawk hissed. "Be careful, with any new comer." Windtear warned. "So your saying that there is a evil new comer?" Nighthawk asked. Windtear rolled her eyes. "No. A new comer, a kitty pet or a stray. It is already here, betrayal is near." Nighthawk remembered Hazelspot as a stray, she was wandering around on WindClan hunting grounds. The only mysterious words Nighthawk has ever heard Hazelspots say was; "See you tonight, Sagefur." Sagefur is a ShadowClan warrior. He never broke the Warrior Code. "Nighthawk!" A voice awoke him. He turned around and saw Hazelspot carrying a plump rabbit. "Oh, hi." Nighthawk stammered. "You toke awhile to drink, why's that?" Hazelspot asked and dropped the rabbit. "I......er...... fell asleep, light sleep." Nighthawk replied. Hazelspot grinned. "You woke up late! You must of couldn't sleep." Nighthawk nodded, he could sleep perfectly well that night though. He got dreams for StarClan, and might get more. Hazelspot pressed her nose against Nighthawks pelt and jumped back,

"Your pelt is hot." She shrieked. Nighthawk grinned, "You get scared like a kit!" Hazelspot frowned. "You like so?" Nighthawk stopped smiling, "No, that was just a joke!" Hazelspot picked up her rabbit. "I'll catch something tommorow." Nighthawk sighed. "That's not hunting together!" Hazelspot pointed out. "You stayed at the river all of this time!" She flicked her tail. Nighthawk rolled his eyes and started to walk towards camp.

Hazelspot kept on talking and asking. Nighthawk ignored her and folded his ears. "You-" before Hazelspot could finish, they arrived at camp and she ran towards to the fresh kill pile to drop her rabbit. Nighthawk glanced at the medicine cat den, Windtear looked at him. Nighthawk padded up to her, "I'll be careful." He promised. "You better." Windtear warned. "I deepened on you, Nighthawk."
