My Mystery Love

"Happy Birthday, Morgan!", I exclaim as I hand him his present.

I had been looking all over for the perfect gift. What do you get someone who lives in a mansion and has an infinite amount of money? I really wanted to get something that meant a lot to both of us.

At first, I thought I should give him something as a joke like a bag of chips, but I realllly wanted to give him something he could keep and cherish. After deliberating for a while I came up with something that is meaningful and useful.

I watch anxiously as Morgan begins tearing away at the wrapping paper. It becomes very quiet as Morgan holds the gift in his hand.

"I love it, its perfect! No, its more than perfect!"

In Morgan's hands sits a polaroid camera.

"Thank goodness. I don't have a lot of nice money so I couldn't buy an expensive one. But I know how much you love Instagram and capturing moments."

He looks up at me with a soft gaze. He then sets the camera aside and gives me the biggest hug.

I feel my stomach begin to flutter and a warm feeling over takes me.

What is this feeling?

Its the best gift I've ever received.

He picks the camera back up and says, "this will make a great first picture".

"What are you doing!?" I screamed at Morgan as tears fell across my face.

Morgan looks up from the mess and his eyes pierce mine. I've never seen this look before.

I've never seen Morgan look at me with such disgust.

"What am I doing? What am I doing?!", he screams coming closer to me, Tess you've been out of control, you're starting rumors, you've hurt people, you're not who you used to be!

My arms clench by my side and I feel my adrenaline pick up.

"I have been telling you the truth! As my best friend I thought you would be on my side!"

"That's bullshit!"

I feel a pang in my heart.

"Morg-"

"NO!", he interrupts.

"No more," he continues, "I can't do this anymore Tessie".

"What do you mean? I feel my eyes begin to fill up with tears."

"Tessie-"

"Morgan I lllll you"
