Niall's P.O.V.
JJ and I went to go find some food. We were both starving. I liked that she had a big appetite.
"Oh look a vending machine. This is only going to hold us over for a little while." I was already buying all of the snacks from the machine.
"Save some for the rest of us, fatty." She pushed me out of the way and started buying snacks too.
"Oh hell no!" We both started fighting for the vending machine and we collapsed on the floor laughing our heads off.
"Help me pick these snacks up Nialler."
"Yeah yeah whatever." She threw a pack of cinnamon buns at me.
"Ow....jerk." I watched her giggle and couldnt help but smile. She had a cute laugh.
"I'll kiss it and make it all better." She grabbed my hand and kissed it. Her lips were so soft and warm. She was so beautiful.
She smiled up at me. Her smile was radiant. Her bright eyes were hypnotic. I wrapped my hands around her waist. Before she could stop me I pressed my lips to hers.
She was hesitant but then she began to kiss me back. Her hands went to my neck and I gripped her tighter.
JJ's P.O.V.
What am I doing? Oh my god he was adorable. I tried to resist him but in the end I melted.
"Wait....Niall.....stop." His lips left mine but are foreheads touched as we both gasped for air.
"I'm sorry." He whispered. His breath tickled my skin a little. It felt nice.
"It's ok. It....happens." I had the urge to kiss him but I resisted. I couldnt get into this. Falling for someone who I protect is against all of the rules.
He felt so warm and I liked how close he was to me. I liked it too much. I needed to end this before it got worse.
"I think we need to get back to the others."
"Yea me too." He finally let me go. We picked up the snacks and headed back to the others.
It was a bit awkward at first but we regained our playful banter soon enough.
The boys decided to order a pizza and afterward everyone headed off to sleep. I stayed up to watch the first shift. I wasnt really that tired even though it had been a long day. I was patroling the building when I heard someone sobbing. I walked towards the sound and found Harry.
"Harry what's wrong?" I kneeled down beside him as he tried to wipe away his tears.
"It's nothing." He got up too quickly and his phone fell on the floor. I reached for it and saw that he was on Twitter. He let me read some of the tweets that people were sending him. They were so horrible.
"Harry! This isnt just nothing." He couldnt look at me. I put me hand on his chin and lifted his face. I waited for him to look at me.
"You shouldn't listen to what the haters say. They're all awful and they dont know how amazing of a person you are. I mean who else could be so sweet and cheeky at the same time." I smiled a little at him. "Now where's that cheeky grin of yours. Oh look there it is."
"Thanks. I needed that. You know you're really good at protecting me...I mean us." I couldnt help it. I grabbed him and hugged him hard. I just wanted to keep him safe.
"C'mon. You can help me." I took him with me as I continued to patrol the area. Everything seemed ok so we chilled in the game room. I was sitting on the couch and Harry was laying his head on my lap.
"Tell me something."
"Sure. What's up?" I was curious as to what he wanted to ask.
"How'd you get into this business? Y'know protecting people?" It was an innocent question even though the answer was difficult and complicated. I didnt know whether I should tell him the truth or make up a story.
"Well umm....my parents were umm.....killed and I wanted to make sure that nothing like that would ever happen to me. That I would be able to protect myself and others." I left Xander out because that was a whole other issue.
He sat up and wiped away my tear. I gave him a sheepish smile as he wrapped his arms around me. Now he was comforting me.
"I am so sorry." His deep voice was full of concern. How sweet he was.
"You didnt know. It's fine." It felt nice in his arms. Today was so emotional and it was only day two. My eyelids started to close as I continued to snuggle in Harry's arms. We both drifted.
