Homecoming

Peter's POV

Today was the day. I was finally going to ask mj to homecoming.

"Ok dude but be careful. Doesn't mj you know kind of scare you?" said Ned my best friend

"Not going to lie to you dude, she can be pretty intimidating" I said. Even the thought of her can send Chills down your spine.

Ned went to class and wished me luck with mj. I saw her by her locker reading a book with toast in her hand. 'here goes' I thought to myself. I ran up to her and she looked at me. "well if it isn't loser number 1" she joked

"haha very funny...anyway mj I wanted to ask you something" she took another bite of her toast and seemed uninterested. Then all the memories flew by me in half a second and now I could easily predict the answer to the question.

I signed and just gave up "um nvm it's stupid.." I didn't even have to look at her in the eye and can tell that she wasn't even curious. I just left cause I didn't want her to ask questions.

Threw out the the day Michelle would look at me and show me pictures of how sad I looked and gave me a puppy face. I would just ignore it

The school day finally ended and I went to my locker and put my things up and I went to go meet with Ned.

"So how'd it go bro. You have a date to homecoming?" he said nudging me with his elbow.

"no buddy I don't" his happy expression changed into a disappointed one.

"oh I'm sorry man. Look on the bright side Umm uh...hold on give me a sec" he tried to come up with a good side for not having a date.

My phone then buzzed. I took it out and saw it was a message from mj.

Text messages

Michelle:hey loser what did you want to ask me this morning?

Me:oh it's nothing don't worry about it

Michelle:whatever you say buddy and oh can I ask you a favor?

Me:sure what is it?

Michelle:I wanted to ask this one guy for homecoming but I can't figure out how to ask him so I was wondering since you're a guy how would you like to be asked?

Real life

Peter's heart sank when he read that text message. Even if he would have asked her it would have been a hard no.

And back to messages

Me:ig you could ask him in a way that you know would best fit his interests

Michelle:that'll be hard but I'll try. Thanks loser

And now back to reality

"who were you texting?" asked Ned

"mj wanted to know how to ask this guy out for homecoming" I said so disappointed

"ouch that's got to hurt" Ned said. He patted my back and offered to buy some Thai for me. Ned was good friend and I'm glad he's my best friend.

Tonight is the night of homecoming and I have no date.... I went to my locker the next day and a note that has a riddle on it and and the word "will"

The riddle wrote "I know you're smart and I know you are a nerd so go to the place with a giant bird"

I thought it must have been the library because our masgot is a singing bird and for some reason they have it all over the library.

I walked to the library and the librarian seemed like she was looking for me. When she spotted me she told me to come over

"Mr Parker, I was told to give this to you" I was given another note along with tuxedo? That's odd. I went to the bathroom and put the tux on.

The note this time said "you go to"
The riddle on this one says "now that you look nice and neat go have a bite where we sit and eat"

That was obviously the cafeteria. I walked to the Cafe and one of the lunch ladies called me over

"Peter Parker. I have something for you" she gave yet another note and a hamburger on the house. "thank you"

"I sat down at my usual table and read the note that had the words "homecoming with me" and it didn't have a riddle but it told me to do something. "great and now that you look nice and have eaten please turn around and your breath will be taken"

I was confused for a second then turned around and I see mj smiling at me in a beautiful dress. She was right my breath was taken away.

"loser...will you go to homecoming with me?" she asked so sweetly

"you want to go to prom with me? What about the guy you wanted to ask?"

"you're the guy I wanted to ask dummy. I wanted to find a creative way to ask you and whenever I wanted to ask you I would always act so cold"

"well of course... I would love to go homecoming with you"

"thank you loser" she then hugged my tight and I hugged her back

We then had the time of our lives at homecoming and let's just say that we came in as friends and came out as something more..

Ahh kill me that was pure cringe but yeah my very first one shot. Did you guys like it I'll try to do another one later today and this is a possibility but I might do 1 story entry and 2 one-shots per day...
