Error 9:: Yang Jeongin X Reader

Cat's POV::

As soon as I got the 'OK' from the boys, I knocked out Willow and Sam. I had thrown one of the gas bombs we had. I had put on a gas mask before letting it explode. But I had to act quick now. I sent the signal to Thomas through my earpiece and waited for him. The explosion had been relatively loud, and I was afriad someone from one of the other labs had heard.

My anxiety made me jump when a knock came from the lab door. Thomas walked in, a gas mask of his own on his face. "Ready to go?" He asked, picking Sam up from her armpits and throwing her over his shoulder. I nodded and did the same with Willow, grunting under her weight.

"We need to hurry though. Theodore was extremly suspicious when I made a bolt for the elevator." Thomas warned, already hurrying out the door. I grit my teeth and followed him.

"Couldn't have given an explanation? Like, I need the bathroom, or I'm hungry. You just had to run out like a madman and come straight here? You didn't consider the possibilty of someone following you?" I snapped, my anxiety pulsing through my veins.

Thomas shook his head and slammed the door for the stairs open. "I made sure to go to multiple floors and go in circles. If someone were following me, they wouldv'e gotten lost with my confusing path." He stopped when a girl appeared on the stairs. Her eyes widened, mouth opening to scream. I cut her off before she could by kicking her backwards.

I watched her tumble down the stairs, hitting the ground with a crunch. I winced and noticed how out of place her head seemed. Thomas didn't seem fazed, and continued his way down the stairs. I whispered a sorry to the girl and followed after. I didn't like killing people, but I had others to protect. If killing was the way to keep my loved ones safe, then I would take those dire measures.

Thomas and I sprinted past the front desk. Jackson I believe was his name, looked up at us, noticed Sam and Willow, and hit the alarm button. I cursed under my breath and drew my gun on him. He yelped and dove for cover under his desk when I shot at him.

"Cat! There's no time for that! We need to go, now!" Thomas yelled back at me just as Jasper and Cole burst through the doors. Jasper looked at Thomas with a confused and slightly hurt look. The two had been good friends. Cole though, looked like a bull about to charge. His nostrils flared.

"You! I knew something was fishy about you. But Thomas. . .you're a traitor!" Cole bellowed, charging straight for Thomas. Unfortunatly for my friend, he wasn't very fast. Thomas got slammed into the wall, dropping Sam in the process. Both of their bodies slumped to the floor. Cole wrapped his hands around Thomas's neck and started applyng pressure. Jasper looked hurt still, and hadn't moved to attack nor help his friend.

I jumped onto Cole's back after setting Willow down and pulled out the chain in my back pocket. I wrapped it around the large man's neck and pulled back with all my might. Cole choked and lost his grip on Thomas to try and remove the chain from his neck. I kept my hold, planting a foot in the middle of his back to push back and avoid his frantic grabbing. Then a gunshot went off right near my head.

I ducked and cast a glance back, seeing Amber standing in the doorway. Before she could shoot again though, Thomas shot up and tackled her to the ground. At that moment, I felt happy Thomas had taken those karate classes. He had Amber in a hold almost impossible to break out of unless you specifically how. She shrieked and clawed at his arms, leaving marks. The chain slipped a bit from my grip. My hands were starting to sweat.

Somehow, Cole was still breathing. He managed to grab the loose part of the chain with his large fingers, and yank it forward. From the sudden pull, I lost the grip on the chain and fell back. Cole was quick, and had me pinned within a couple of seconds. He pulled out a knife and stabbed down at my eyes. I turned my head at the right moment, but got a good part of my ear chopped off.
